I wonder though. Regular Rapidash still has its benefits and synergizes well with Ninetales. Old Rapidash likes going first, Ninetales likes going second. With Ninetales you will stop putting energies onto anything other than it for as long as it's attacking, meaning you won't set up your other Pokémon. In this case, you can always switch back to the old Rapidash and immediately attack with just a single energy. The new Rapidash doesn't offer this flexibility. Like Ninetales it doesn't wanna go first and can't immediately attack with one energy and 50% of the time it still does the same as regular Rapidash. Yes, the heads flip can decide games and it one shots Celebi-EX with Blaine or Giovanni. But again only 50% of the time.
i think running one of each rapidash is might be the best way to run this deck since one energy attack for the original makes it very flexible but having potentially 100+ damage with the new one is also really nice
New rapidash is so pretty! Unfortunately I think in Blaine it's probably better to have the original for going first, and leave going second to Ninetales.
The big win for the deck was Ponyta. Going second on Ponyta doesnt even feel bad now when you flip heads. It guarantees good tempo out the gate. I run new ponyta and old rapidash and 1 Farfetched. You are almost always cracking 40 right away
Old Rapidash like to go First new Ponyta likes to go second. Good matchup against Pikachu and Celebi and new Ponyta can one shot Stayu on a flip with Giovanni. This deck was a winner with the new set.
Ive been running a rapidash deck with flareon instead of ninetails. Flareon's 110 damage one shots celibii without relying on another card to do so and allowing you to use other trainer cards during the turn (say for a sabrina swap) + its bulkier than ninetails, helping it not get one-shot by celibii.. Just need one extra energy to get going. You can run giovanni instead of blaine since rapidash one shots both serp naturally and celibii with just gio. One Leaf can be good for pivoting flareon since it has a 2 retreat cost.
Personally, I think the old rapidash makes more sense for the deck. You already have ninetales to hit for 120. Rapidash doing big chip fast is so important
The new Rapidash art is beautiful. Glorious fiery steed. I personally think with the new Rapidash and Magmar that a 1 Moltres would be good. I normally don’t play it in Blaine, but it can wall for you while you wait to draw your evos and make it so you’re not stuck in those situations where you’re one energy short because you have to keep discarding and attaching to Ninetales.
I've always found in Blaine decks, the last thing you want to do is wall and build up. Fast damage early to pile on pressure is where it shines the most
@HexigonSB i use a hybrid blaine, 2xrapidash, 2xarcanine, 1xmoltres, 2 gio 2 blaine, arcanine really strong vs celeby, u still aggro with rapidash and pivot to arcanine, arca doe more coverage and more bulky than ninetails, if you start with moltress power up arcanine and hes ready very quick
Probably Mew-EX over Tauros. I guess Tauros could one-shot Pikachu-EX as well as Mew-EX and Celebi-EX with Giovanni. But then it also has 2 retreat and is worthless against non-EX Pokémon. Mew-EX has one retreat, one-shots Mewtu-EX, but doesn't do that well against Celebi-EX.
I run this deck with Heatmor instead of Magmar. Just for an early 80hp wall that can ping for a little bit of chip damage while I'm building up a Ninetails. Yeah it doesn't work with Blaine, but I feel like if you're using Blaine with Magmar, you're already in trouble.
I run Moltres Arcanine with the new Magmar and is doing great. Magmar blaine takes care of celebi and other 110 hp pokemons like weezing while Arcanine gio deals with mew.
I guess Magmar can be treated as a 3rd and 4th Arcanine alongside Blaine to deal with Celebi-EX specifically. But that energy and retreat cost is just so bad. An alternative could be Volcarona. Same issues and it's a phase 1 with one more energy required, but it two shots even the benched Pokémon. That means Serperior (even after 1 Erika), Gardevoir and what else is lingering on the bench as well.
@solidzack You xspeed with moltres, or raw retreat with it after ramping. And if you're already on Arcanine then you're most likely not retreating, or just retreat it raw at low health since you wouldn't bring it back to active again.
i feel like playing the older ponyta could be better, since you get to get to 120 with a single coinflip and without giovanni, helps you kill pikachu. if you plan on 2 heads your top damage is 140 which i think helps with mewtwo if you also giovanni but that's about it. 170 too isn't a particularly sought after number beside killing a venusaur ex, i could be wrong tho
I’m loving genetic weezing with scolipeade leaf oak oak koga koga retreat potion, beating all metas a few times, considered swapping one koga for a Giovanni, but really fun. I beat a celebi that flipped 14 times later I killed serperior he flipped 7 more and still lost, pretty lucky but scoli weezing
I would only play the new magmar with the old rapidash because it’s just too expensive this way. Magmar can take care of celebi with Blaine so it would be worth it
Have to disagree. Art is the number one way people recognize cards and know what they do. Otherwise you have to click and hold on literally every card.
That's like most games. People sometimes wait just before you get your final attack off to ragequit or do one last pity attack out of spite and then quit after.
Worst part of this deck is giving up the Rapidash Full Arts
I love the art on the new Rapidash. Too bad it’s not full art

Same as Gyarados ex, the full art is majestic...
i think running one of each rapidash is might be the best way to run this deck since one energy attack for the original makes it very flexible but having potentially 100+ damage with the new one is also really nice
My thinking as well. Been testing it and it feels flexible and nice.
True, I have lost one against celebi because of the two fire cost of the attack
Why not just have 2 doing 100?
@@suicine2859 it costs two fire energy which can be a little inconsistent
Agreed, when you open with vulpix/ninetails you don't need 2 turns to start swinging again.
New rapidash is so pretty! Unfortunately I think in Blaine it's probably better to have the original for going first, and leave going second to Ninetales.

I'm having really good results with 1 of both ngl
the magmar is a dead card when i play this deck. I don't think i've ever used it to attack
Yeah, moltress is what I've been tempted by. (Non-ex)
I use promo jigglypuff for that sleep
Ive been running a rapidash deck with flareon instead of ninetails.

Am still running the OG rapidash. The aggro/speed is what makes the deck good

It looks like a long necked giraffe at first glance

Tauros instead of magmar to beat out larger ex decks?
Or mew :]
It's cathartic after so many bricks into Celebi perfect plays to watch it get burned up so easily. Might pivot into a Blaine deck.
Encountered a Druddigon, Bruxish, Weezing deck yesterday. It was an interesting combo. I lost to it.
Ooh Druddigon Bruxish is not something I considered
I run this deck with Heatmor instead of Magmar. Just for an early 80hp wall that can ping for a little bit of chip damage while I'm building up a Ninetails. Yeah it doesn't work with Blaine, but I feel like if you're using Blaine with Magmar, you're already in trouble.
9:47 Magmar slander will not be accepted. My boy would have one shot Celebi by himself 😒
the worst thing is start with magmar, he might be the finisher in this deck probably
I feel like the new Magmar could benefit from a Moltres deck, maybe with like Arcanine too
I run Moltres Arcanine with the new Magmar and is doing great. Magmar blaine takes care of celebi and other 110 hp pokemons like weezing while Arcanine gio deals with mew.

@@solidzack Leaf exists.
@@faireststar Magmar is only useful with Blaine though. Leaf locks you out of Blaine, Giovanni etc.
@solidzack You xspeed with moltres, or raw retreat with it after ramping. And if you're already on Arcanine then you're most likely not retreating, or just retreat it raw at low health since you wouldn't bring it back to active again.
How many times did you play against celebi in total, soo curious
the games: "breaking news, fire deck is good against grass decks, more at 10"
The new Salandit line is good for going first especially if you only use the new rapidash
I think that instead of Magmar I would put a Chatot or a MewEx which could be very useful with matchups like Mewtwo
I hate the new rapidash because I got blessed with 2 full art old rapidash 😂 now I use 1 of it and 1 of this new one
Exactly the same for me, tbh both is good because old rapidash is good for going first
i feel like playing the older ponyta could be better, since you get to get to 120 with a single coinflip and without giovanni, helps you kill pikachu. if you plan on 2 heads your top damage is 140 which i think helps with mewtwo if you also giovanni but that's about it. 170 too isn't a particularly sought after number beside killing a venusaur ex, i could be wrong tho

Dope video you should try scolipede weezing with 1 salandit for big damage to celebi with 1 ekan 1 arbok went 11-4 with the deck really fun as well
Drop Magmar and Giovannis for potions and Sabrina
I would only play the new magmar with the old rapidash because it’s just too expensive this way. Magmar can take care of celebi with Blaine so it would be worth it
This is the only deck i been using for pvp and clearing the pve fights. My luck for ex cards have been extremely terrible. 😂😅😢
They should introduce art transmog, so that i can play the new rapidash effect with the one star artwork.
Have to disagree. Art is the number one way people recognize cards and know what they do. Otherwise you have to click and hold on literally every card.
I feel like the new Magmar is just borderline unusable with the 2 energy loss for only 80 damage. OG Mag is just better imo
Thanks for the new deck
Love Walmart. It's very affordable.
I tried this too but i replace the ninetales with salazzle for 1 energy hitter. my opponent not prepare for surprise comeback lol
I think the new rapidash is to slow to set up but the new ponyta is good with og rapidash
Replace Magmar with MewEX. It can be a silly counter to Mewtwo and some others.
The first game is a testimant to how broken celebi is. It makes players do stupid things and make stupid plays... absolutely ridiculous
I think druddigon better then magmar solo fire energy
Almost same with my deck’ , remove magmar and put Moltres ex. if ur lucky to pull Moltres ex as ur first five then so on and so fort
Use old Magmar
First game in already sold that old rapidash is better
New rapidash is mid af, ponyta is alright but I prefer the old one, magmar I guess is alright.
Bro math isn’t this hard lmao, you were wrong on like all your damage reads and you only fixed a couple but it’s okay sick deck 😂
The original rapidash is better, transitions well into nainetails
Clickbait, magmar is a noob trap and new rapidash is not consistent
Why would you include a game where the opponent rage quits?
That's like most games. People sometimes wait just before you get your final attack off to ragequit or do one last pity attack out of spite and then quit after.
