During my driveline rebuild on my 2004 GTX SC because of a back ordered carbon seal bellow from the dealer I decided to buy an $18 bellow boot off amazon, the only part not oem... lets just say I rebuilt the drive shaft twice... and got an SBT boot for $28 to get rid of that garbage amazon boot
Trying to remove my pump from the ski now right now and it’s stuck stuck!!! I have two ratchet straps on it and tied to my truck what am I missing ? Just corrosion or never being removed?
Ok Found an odd bolt installed bottom right corner of the pump housing. “They may have broke off the old one but not sure”. Is there a clip or set screw that holds it to the drive shaft? I see the Rubber protection boot in the Hull but can’t get under it. ? FYI- this is a 2007 Seadoo GTX Wake
@@calasworld I had put some force on it using two ratchet straps hooked from the JetSki to my truck and put a lot of tension on them Using The Rachets Only. I just don’t want to damage anything. There is a lot of corrosion, bearings are clearly bad after removing The Cone. “No grease just rusty/mud/bearing play. I would think the drive shaft is stuck in the Impeller Boot. ? They should be Spline type groves. 🤔🤔🤔
OK, finding its pretty much seized on the shaft. What I ended up doing was pulling the cone off the end in which it was full of mud/water. I hosed the living hell out of it a few times with PB blaster. Then I removed the intake, impeller guards getting to the backside of the impeller, ran a wire wheel on a drill around the shaft to remove corrosion, slid back the impeller boot, and noticed it is completely packed with rust so I sprayed the hell out of that with PB blaster and started smacking on the backside of the impeller near the splines. What a pain. What are I’m letting it soak overnight and I’m going to try to beat on that thing some more tomorrow. I’m trying to avoid removing the carbon ring/shaft assembly.

Question for you. On the pump their is a plug with a strainer. If you take the strainer out and try to run the ski in the water will it prevent it from running water through the system because the plug/strainer is out?

Hi I have a 2004 seadoo gti, with carburator,it starts well, but it has a lack of power.it barely goes 20 miles per hour, although I change the spark plugs and nothing changed.battery is good too.any possible reason why it is not powered enough??
Rebuilding my jet pump now For the diagram on the top seals it says Oring then big seal then spacer then top seal and c clip! You did 2 big seals then small top seal then c clip! Which route would be best to go?! I also got the eBay shaft but oem bearing so thinking to get a original shaft! Thank you
Man I watch your video,it is very useful and informative, where do u buy your parts from, and where do I buy a kit to rebuild my 2004 seadoo gti jet pump from?thanks in advance man 👍👍
Hey Calas been loving watching your vids! learning a lot. I have a couple questions if you don't mind, was this a 2021 ski's pump? or can I use the new style oil seals on my 2016 rxp? My bearing died this week it was full of water, so now I'm going to check it much more frequently. Also do you use a upgraded propeller shaft for your race ski? because the oem ones seem to rust pretty quick
Yes you can , if you buy OEM parts they already discontinue the old seals you will get the new 2021 seals. It works for all the older pumps but if you buy the parts on eBay you will get the old style seals . I hope this answer your question.
BRP and Sea-Doo are geniuses in creating initial failures that have HUGE consequences like their old supercharger stories. Try and LEASE a Sea-Doo at the dealer, they won't because they know they sell crap for $$$! Those engineers must be RICH. Cha Ching! THE PWC world could be a money pit unless you're a company making them and haven't gone bankrupt yet. 🤔
We going to make you a Is rep for seadoo as many times are you said ome parts I don't even have a sea doo in I almost bought a part just because 🤣🤣🤣

Is there a parts list to rebuild my 2015 and 2018 Sea Doo GTI SE 155 pumps? I want to use OEM items but not sure what I’m looking for.
Today i had to rebuild my pump and i rewatched this video. Oh my gosh its great! Thank you !!
I’m hooked on your videos, I’ve been binge watching them. 😅😂 YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
If the thrust bearing are bad would you be able to see metal shaving in the oil filter?

You should be able to just pull the pump straight back and the prop should be able to slide right out of the driveshaft

That’s what I was going to recommend you to do just remove the carbon ring and c clip and work with the drive shaft and pump outside
How much does a standard pump rebuild cost. ballpark parts and labor?
Depends where you live bro. Call the local dealer.

How did you tighten that nut on the impeller shaft, that shaft spins the impeller and you dont have the impeller on
You like everything OEM why not tight the nut at the manufacture torque spec too. LOL
buen trabajo ! de nuevo al agua !

Put the wear ring in the freezer for half an hour it will shrink and will drop straight into the housing with no banging on table
I liked him banging it on table, had not seen that before, but I did know about freezer thing from JP racing.

Hope to catch on you the water some day would love for you to check out my GPR
Ebay sells shit parts. Love the videos calas.
I have a 2009 rxt and i am looking for a jet pump. can you tell me where u buy your parts?
I used Watercraft Super Store. My older brother fed some rocks on my 2004 GTX na. It's much more $ now than what I paid, but is still worth it.
Very nice
Just wondering on the rxtx 300 161mm jet pump do they have those same updated double stack seals?
If you get a OEM rebuild kit for Seadoo pump from 2003 and up you will get the double seal
If you buy the kit in the Internet you will get the old set up
Specially the economic kits
That prop shaft will rust in place to the id of the bearing
with those shafts i press the seal in the pump first to stop it falling out
Don't worry, the shaft will friction weld itself to the bearing!
Awuuuu you are the man.
has the pump held up?
Yes
You tha best bro!!!

Dealer won’t sell the parts if ski is 10 years old
You don't and should never use gloves while you are using a bench grinder
Owner just want to sell it 😅
