Thanks for Video! It's really one of the best VR games I played so far (PC Steam + Quest 3). Once you get to set up the controls to yours needs... Almost no online matches possible. But Single-Player is also fun.

I got this game dirt cheap just before Christmas just to give it a go with my quest headset I played it for about an hour and I just got bored I'm a huge Star Wars fan but it just wasn't enough in the game to pull me in. I may go back to it at some point and Have another go.

Hi Thanks for watching I’m playing the Steam version in steam VR using virtual desktop. The joystick is connected to PC and is the thrustmaster t.16000m fcs hotas I definitely recommend using a joystick to make it more immersive. Are you able to get this to work in Virtual Desktop easily? I find I have to launch the game with VD disconnected, connect and then toggle VR in game. Not the end of the world.. but a ballache nonetheless

@@mrmobbs350 It's weird... either the game will crash when initializing or will boot into normal desktop mode which you can see through the headset but toggling the setting does nothing
@ perhaps something to do with the open XR runtime? Try toggling the options in the virtual desktop streamer. Or it could be that steam VR isn’t opening correctly so may be worth checking the options within steam VR?
Can you share what your video settings are (in game- under options/video?) Have a high end laptop Rtx 4090 ryzen 9 32gb ram and graphics are crazy bad. Was shocked at how crisp everything is for you.
@@Giddyup11 sure I’ll have a look shortly. I have read that a laptop GPU is not the equivalent of a desktop GPU but regardless I’d imagine you should get a really good experience with this game. I used to use a laptop when I started PCVR. I had to play with it plugged into the mains power otherwise it would play in eco mode and would be a bad experience.

@@Giddyup11 people are pretty harsh against gaming laptops but in some circumstances they serve a good purpose. Mine did a good job for me. My first play through of HLA was using a laptop My settings for this game are as follows Res scale 100 Anti alias 100 Film grain & lens distortion on Graphics quality custom UI Quality Off Then everything on its highest setting Anti Alias TAA High I’ve got the game both on Epic & Steam as Epic gave it for free at one point. I did sometimes have so weird graphical issues on Epic where everything looked kinda pastel colours. No issues on steam I hope this helps. Thanks for watching & being part of the channel 🫡☺️✌🏼

I’ll try it again soon, I also just realized that my usb C cord that connects my meta quest 3 to my laptop is a charging cord and not a data transfer cord and I think this has a lot to do w why the graphics are trash. 🗑️ 🤦🏻♂️ so I ordered a new cord that transfers up to 10gbps. @@salookie8000 Hi, I don’t think you can use the meta controllers but you can use a controller like the Xbox, PlayStation or Switch. The controller is connected to the PC, not the headset. It plays well with a controller but obviously the stick is more immersive. I bought my stick used from FB Marketplace. When I try this I get horrible over saturated colours and a messed up picture. None of the graphics settings in game seem to fix it. It works in desktop mode ok, but in VR it's all wrong.
I think I had something similar a couple of times. I have the game on Epic & Steam. I assumed it was something to do with the Epic version but really not sure. I want to do another video on this soon so perhaps I’ll try the epic version and see. What version are you running on? I assume the game file would be identical it’s just using a different launcher 🤷🏻♂️

I think it’s just the game itself. The graphics are just kind of meh. Even when i turn my levels up to Ultra in VR everything still just feels kind of flat.

My rig is 2060 super i7 9700f im using quest 2 game runs smooth on PlaystationVR but resolution is low on PCVR it looks great but runs like crap maybe its my pc or setup i can't wait to update from PS4PRO to PS5PRO PS VR2
@@mrmobbs350 cable not from graphics card. Link cable to MB . Running medium settings reflections turnt down shadows too. Resolution 1600p, quest app 90z 1600p. Steam VR or no Steam VR it still runs poor, 2024 windows 11. (2021-2023 i was fine on windows 10)
I couldn't get mine to work just says sign in but no way to sign in in the headset I gave up. maybe I should try again. It wouldn't work on the desktop wither I think.
@@mrmobbs350 got it working mate guess what it was 2 factor authentication I had to turn it off and put my account at risk just to play it. Because there's no way to do the authentication in the headset. Joke. I had it working well but then it would go crazy and lag and make me crash all of a sudden I will try again today. Maybe my PC needs rebooting or something. But it was running ultra graphics great FPS. So not my PC quest link problem I expect I'll try steam link later. Maybe virtual desktop but that gives me problems usually. I will have to turn my 2 factor authentication off again before I try lol. So stupid.
@@mrmobbs350 which way are you connected wireless? Which way? My wireless is hit and miss. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't I might be doing something wrong. Sometimes it goes so laggy and messed up I can't even exit the game or disconnect the link. Strange. Sometimes it works great. Very strange.
@@mrmobbs350 it was nice to play it finally though it was amazing and the crazy lag only happened about 3 times in about half hour. Hoping it was where I connected but forgot to start recording. So I then I backed out to start a recording and quest link disconnected so I reconnect and it said I had to quit a program which I did and then it worked, but probably caused the issue I was having I will try connecting after I start a recording so I don't end up doing the same thing and see if it runs better. I hope so cos the performance was awesome so it wasn't caused by my PC not being good enough. It's a Ryzen 9 5900x and Rx 6800 with 32 GB ram. And I was using link cable so shouldn't matter about bandwidth etc. I back out to start a recording by mashing the oculus button 7 times and the error report pops up so you can send a report it is the only way to get back to the quest home screen from PCVR which is stupid then 9 times out of ten it crashes quest link so that probably caused it maybe. I don't know how else it could run perfect for ten minutes then totally bug out so the screen goes all crazy and it goes all weird then boom back to perfect again for another 5 minutes till it does it again.
@@mrmobbs350 i have the game on PlaystationVR PS4PRO and PCVR using Quest 2 all PlaystationVR 1 games have ghosting, its a little ghosting on SteamVR but not much. I will soon have PS VR2 but try to see if PlaystationVR2 took care of the ghosting everyone was complaining about during launch?
Hello, i'm also trying to play the game on Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop but in the game menu when I select Toggle VR and select OK to continue in VR nothing happens. Did you do any specific settings to play the game in VR? Are you also launching the game from the Games tab Virtual Desktop menu?
Hi, I have this in both steam & Epic games. To open the steam version I just click on the game in the games tab on virtual desktop. It will then boot up steam vr & open in VR. I don’t need to toggle to VR. The game boots in VR. Have you got steam vr installed & is it opening when you run the game?
@@mrmobbs350 Thanks for the answer!. Yeah I have steamvr installed but I saw that when I launch the game from VD Games tab, it will only start the game and not SteamVR. And when in game I just see the flat display in front of me in VR headset. I also tried launching the game from SteamVR but it just stays in Next Up and will show the game on my computer monitor.
@@malbebeler have you got openxr runtime set to automatic in the virtual desktop streamer options? Also I assume you’ve tried running steam vr manually then booting up the game & switching to VR then?
@@malbebeler try auto. Although not sure it’ll make any difference but that’s what mine is set to. I just booted it up to check there hadn’t been an update that had broke it but mine works fine
I’ve not played it online but from what other people have said it’s dead online. Single player is good fun. I might give it another play over the next week if I get chance
@@mrmobbs350 had to check on google if mp was truly dead, seems like it's not but pretty much became something more on the competitive side with team and stuffs on discord. I remember mp being extremely intense while solo is more like slow paced tutorial.
The graphics on this game just aren’t that great, unfortunately. Even when i turn my vr settings up to Ultra levels there is still a flatness about it that i find really troubling. Maybe there is something i need to adjust in the settings? Can anyone else weight in on this?
I imagine you’ve already cranked everything up in the settings both in game and on virtual desktop or whatever else you’re using? It’s not the best graphics I’ve seen in VR but not the worst either. I have every up in this video. I don’t think you’ll get any better unless there are mods available 🤷🏻♂️
It's a PCVR game so you need a PC to play on the Quest. It's available on Steam & Epic. It often goes on sale so if you wait you can get it cheap. It might also be available on Xbox Gamepass although unsure of that. Thanks for watching & taking the time to comment :)

All added up, it’s not a cheap hobby. You can still do it cheaper with a lower spec PC & an older headset. I’m fortunate enough to have this setup.
@ some of the things are widely available here pre owned. Also as new tech comes out it makes PCVR more affordable for everyone. When I first started PCVR it required a high end gaming PC to get it to work. You can now get the same spec PCs fairly cheap in comparison

Turn HDR off on your PC.

Not that I’ve noticed but I’m normally trying to work out what’s going on or where I’m being shot from 😂😂
