A good resource to find vintage fabric is to watch for quilt/sewing groups fund raisers. Members donate fabric to be sold to raise money for their club.
YES YES YES! Fabric sells like hotcakes 🥞 and estate sales are the best place to find it, in my opinion! My mom is a quilter and you can't even believe how much fabric she has stashed away, and I helped do an estate clean out and have tons just waiting to get listed 😱👩🌾🦉
Just happened upon this and had to giggle... I live in GA and am leaving today for my 2nd trip to Nebraska to pick up the last of appx. 1500 YARDS of vintage OOP fabric that I won on an online auction. YES YES YES, vintage fabrics sell!
Thanks for sharing. I’ve seen tons of fabric at garage sales, etc. Never even heard of selling fabric which is weird because I’ve sold vintage linens which is fabric fashioned into useable linens. I’ve seen Mary Englebreit art and sold a set of tins with her designs
OK I would absolutely have thought that Daisy Kingdom fabric was hopelessly dated and not worth much at all! Whoops. Thank you for all your research -- super helpful!
Love your channel and signed up for list perfectly…..after multiple days of trying to get it working, I finally read that this can only be used on a computer-iPad won’t work. I’m so disappointed, but I’ve paid for a month for nothing…I wish the site would have been a little easier to find information, or maybe I just became too frustrated each time I attempted to work on my listings. Thank you for being so informative also love the hats 🎩
Do you have a computer desktop or laptop? You can list into the catalog from your ipad or phone and then use a computer to cross post the items. I hope this info helps.
Are the manufacturer's or designer's names and dates marked on the edges? How do you know? I guess I should have waited until later in the video. But what if it's not marked?
You look at the selvage (long edge) I would say about 60% of fabric is marked on the edge, especially vintage is more often marked. The amount of info given varies.

Don't forget about vintage barkcloth, esp. MCM/atomic patterns. They can go for big money!
Yes! I have sold a lot of MCM fabric. Most of the fabric I find still has selvage thank goodness. Usually has the date as well.
Great information Courtney! If you list Daisy Kingdom Fabric, make sure to offer Standard International Shipping. I sell most of DK fabric overseas.
Wow!! I think I'm sitting on a gold mine haha, I have tons of DK and Holly Hobby. Thanks so much!!
I love these type of videos!
Thank you thank you thank you! Didn't think vintage fabric went for that much.
Not all of it does. These are def highlights. Important to always look things up. If you can get it cheap it can be a great bread and butter also.

I’ve always known it as dotted Swiss. Lots of dresses out of it in the 50’s
Amazing isn't it? Check out vintage lace trim as well and it's always at garage sales and church bazaars(in the craft section) cheap! Great video!
