The west is willing to fight its enemy's an invest billions and billions in weaponry , but crazy as it sounds , the west has a huge aversion to victory , I.e. North Korea , Vietnam , Afganistan , Iraq an others. Why is America willing to fight but unwilling to win ?
Peer wars are extremely difficult to fight compared to a western country fighting tribesman. We haven't really seen peer wars since WW2 and we know how that turned out. Russia is learning that a determined educated country isn't going to easily fold. Xi should take note and also remember that Taiwan has a moat around it.
That moat can keep our equipment out too...Taiwan needs to raise its military budget to 10% of GDP immediately. All drones and asymmetric munitions, they also need to produce a domestic fighter platform, and need hundreds of them. We will not be able to get a fraction of equipment there that we did in Ukraine.
Quite simply Putin wanted a huge win grabbing Ukraine in a quick action. His subordinates weren’t brave enough to tell him what he needed to hear, they just told him he wanted to hear. So, he made this big ego boosting grab based on faulty intelligence. In no way was he prepared for a long war. Remember russia defeated n@zis
Chinese defeated Japanese.
Russia did grab 18% of Ukraine, they didn't win, lost assets they CAN afford (because NATO will never attack them); the Ukrainians did the fighting, the West however failed to mobilize their power, has NO strategy and this is costing Ukraine a lot of civilians and military casualties (totally unneccessary if the West had send enough anti air/missile systems and had put no limits on their usage).
The west is willing to fight its enemy's an invest billions and billions in weaponry , but crazy as it sounds , the west has a huge aversion to victory , I.e. North Korea , Vietnam , Afganistan , Iraq an others. Why is America willing to fight but unwilling to win ?
The propaganda never ends.

But it is very, very small.

@julie804.
By his sycophantic subordinates.
His biggest mistake was completely misreading how Europe would do without his gas AND come together to supply Ukraine with superior weapons. The main result is the world now sees the full result of Russian endemic corruption, poor leadership and the poor quality of weapons.
He had little choice. It was either that of face total humiliation and the loss of billions of dollars a year in income.
Also Putin is limited where he can travel. ICC has an arrest warrant for him.
