Well when it comes to triathlon, for people like me doing sprints only and in many cases at terrain with sharp ascents and descents, this bike makes a lot of sense for a trithlon bike!
I will never own such a bike. However, that was one of the most interesting videos i saw in the last few months. And this seattube/seatstays transition is sexy ;-)
@@ronykuba thx for your answer. My saddle heigth is 67,5 cm. Do you think i will have the same heigth of saddle stem as you if i choose an xs ? Could you tell me what is the seat tube length on the s size? Thanks a lot ! 😃
Regarding your comment about the chainring that comes standard: Mine would have come equipped with a 50T chainring. I asked the dealer to only equip it with a 48T. Not because I am that weak, but because I will ride several hillier races. For all the flatter ones I will change for the new 52T chainring.
Ronald Kuba yes. I got it on bike-discount (www.bike-discount.de/en/buy/sram-axs-d1-aero-powermeter-kit-880225?currency=1&delivery_country=48). It said on Back order but arrived two days later...
Hello, nice review as always. I am curious how the SEAT-TUBE ANGLE of 74.5° cope with TT position? If we look at Canyon Speedmax we can see that the seat post has 80,5° and the position is more over the BB.
Hello and thank you for your super interesting bike review, as usual. I know you don’t use the shiv anymore. I’m racing triathlons with the P5 since 3 years, love it. I never use any storage or whatsoever on the bike during races and I’m considering switching the P5 with the shiv tt for a matter of weight, bike handling (and look). Since you rode both bikes, can you give me some insights on that potential swap? Both bikes are uci legal so no geometry penalty in here. Thank you for your feedback !
Ron, when you put the ceramic speed BB onto the shiv. I've noticed it doesn't come with an internal sleeve meaning the rear brake housing may sit on the spindle any thoughts what did you do?
hey ronny, been following you for quite a while now and can´t remember you giving your opinion on canyon as a brand. do you have any experience with their bikes? espacially seeing that they basically offer the same hardware for up to 3000 bucks less on the top end side of things compared to the competition, namely beeing bmc, specialized, trek they seem to be quite an interesting consideration for anyone on a tight budget looking forward to your answer and good luck for the eventually upcoming season stay healthy
We've been waiting for the Shiv candy, and Ronald "The Candy Man" Kuba delivers, big time. I'm only 15 seconds in but I want to say THANK YOU right away 😂
Thanks for the presentation! And for pointing out the difference between the TT and the Tri version of the Shiv!
And everone stays healthy!
Cheers!
amazing bike, amazing review, all together amazing channel. keep going Rony !
Thanks for the support!

You should pay attention to the thickness of the RT900 alloy carrier. It's noticeably wider than the Centerline XR's.
Hmm you are right. I'd prefer to have less chance of rub though, there's more penalty in that for sure.

Never say never!
thought about bilding a crazy tt position bike just to get short 2-3min flat koms.
why would that be any different or better?
No TT position in the world can give you the speed of a massive tail wind. That's all you need. ;-)
@@ronykuba any different to what?
super bike!!! can u tell me how much is your saddle heigth?
715mm

Sorry for coming so late to the party, but where did you hide the blip box? sorry if you said it already
In the seatpost
@@ronykuba thanks! But how did you get the blip wires that far?

The Canyon is a triathlon bike primarily. The seat angle puts you exactly where you need to be for UCI racing
Does the shiv tt disc have clearance for super wide wheel sets like enve 4.5ars?
I haven't tried but it looks like it does
What is happened with the s-works tarmac you have planed to build up as a climbing bike
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 great bike
Thanks! 😎

Ron, you mentioned replacing the stock seat-post with a Dash seat post. What would be the potential weight savings?
do you know the total weight of the bike?
7.6kg
Did you need to cut the extensions to be UCI legal (if so by how much)? Or do you just leave them until you get your custom extensions?
Hey Rony. What’s the name of that computer mount? Thanks.
Looking forward to your Sram brake hack video. Any idea when that will be up?
Tom Pugh
Instaling shimano brakes?
Lol
Ron, when you put the ceramic speed BB onto the shiv. I've noticed it doesn't come with an internal sleeve meaning the rear brake housing may sit on the spindle any thoughts what did you do?
I've routed the hose underneath and wedged a plastic sheet under the BB to keep it from coming up
Ah OK thanks....... Surprised ceramic speed don't supply the sleeve like the existing sram one.
Do you have to adjust your breaks when you have dura-ace rotors or it is the same as Sram's?
What do you mean by adjusting?
I use Dura ace rotors on a all my sram eTap AXS and the work perfectly. The size is almost identical (Dura Ice is 0.1 mm thinner or so).
Amazing Channel! Sick bike! How much3was the complete build?
What do you mean?
Will you have custom bar extension ?
Yes
@@ronykuba how many watts gain with you think ?
@@tybobab a couple
Will you race (eventually) with the shiv or areocoach rear disc?
I only have a Roval disc
Looks like you were in the mistral helmet during aero testing. Was that faster than the kask pro?
It was the same as the pro evo, but fits me better
Hi Rony. Why did you switch to ENVE vs using the CLX64?
Well, I didn´t. I always had Enves and the Rovals came with the bike.
Ronald Kuba my question is why aren’t you using the CLX64 that came with the bike?
what tires do you use for road racing?
Schwalbe Pro One TLE

@@graphics_dev5918 they're not compatible with my wheels

When you mention a significant upgrade in terms of custom extensions, are you talking about the Pentaxia extensions?
