I can’t travel because of my disability and material situation. BUT. So many nice people film their journeys nowadays ! It’s obviously not the same as being there, but it’s so much better than only seeing photos. The commentary was so interesting, thank you !!!
Also, THANK YOU for having real subtitles.

4:38 I’m patting myself on the back for having figured out the kanji at the beginning of the video. Oh my goodness, I want to be there so much. I love nature, and I love forests, and just looking at it so far into the video I am filled with warm fuzzies and a deep longing. This is what I want to go to Japan to see.

The area at the top with all the identical little shrines…a kind of “glamping”ground for the gods? (Is that a real word in English? I’ve been in Japan for quite a while…) But seriously, I love the concept of God/gods residing, fleetingly, in elements of nature. (Trees, rivers, sunlight filtering down to the forest floor…). I actually live not far from the Kumano Kodo trail system, but have been too lazy to do a proper trek there…thanks for the inspiration!

Yes glamping is a word that is used in normal North American English. Not sure if it’s officially been added to the language or a dictionary.

One little issue with a small part of your commentary. It happens near the point when you are advising people to check beforehand where scenic location will fall along their train route and to reserve their seats accordingly. Then, you remind us that one should be polite to people they're traveling with by offering them the window seat with the comment about letting your "girlfriend" have the window seat. I just feel like that was not the best way to say it.
You should've simply said "traveling companion" which would've been more inclusive of everyone. With that term, you could speak to the majority of people who either travel with friends or family or those travelling with colleagues in their professional or business capacities, as well as the "travelling with girlfriend" category. Using the term "travelling companions" would've been appreciated by the last category as well as the others because they'd feel included regardless of the gender or the number of the romantic associates they choose to bring along on the trip.
I understand that "girlfriend this, girlfriend that" has become ubiquitous in the current internet lingo, but I personally feel that educational content should follow a higher, more inclusive and socially-sensitive standard of etiquette and be more audience-focused than those vlogs type content which, by its very nature, are supposed to be author-centric and can get away with lower standards of etiquette.
I believe that, a lot of people including myself, would really appreciate it if you could keep a wider spectrum of people in mind when preparing your scripts. Such little improvements would make your videos even kinder and comfortable than they already are.
