If C depends on A and B both being true, why can't we assume that A and B are true if C is true? I know we can't assume A is true if C is true, but we can assume B is true if C is true, therefore A is true because B is true. Is this incorrect? Thank you
Think this way: If I'm a human, then I'm a mammal. If I'm a mammal, then I'm an animal. You're saying that because we're animals we're necessarily humans, which certainly is not the case

C doesn't depend on A or B. A implies B, which, in turn, implies B. But C can happen even if not B or not A or any combination of A and B.
