There is no magic in Where the Crawdads Sing and there is only one Marsh Girl, who is Kya. But don't let the fact that there is zero magic in the book deter you from reading that book. It is such a beautifully written book and you will absolutely fall in love with Kya.
Where the Crawdads Sing and The Vanishing Half are both absolutely amazing. Two all-time favorites! I ordered Catherine House as soon as I heard your description, lol!!! I am also rereading The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo😜
where the crawdads sing is one of THE best books I've ever read. its such a beautiful read and one that will stay with you long after you've read the very last page. it made me cry ❤ I hope you love reading it as much as I did Lexie x
I read The Vanishing Half and Where the Crawdads Sing this month. Vanishing half is amazing. You will not regret it! No magic in where the crawdads sing and I thought it was ok. I definitely don’t regret picking it up. Mexican Gothic is on my list!!
I just have to recommend a movie I saw last night. It's the The House with a Clock in Its Walls. I LOVED it!! So if you have'nt seen it yet I can HIGHLY recommend that one. So whimsical and magical, perfect for fall! (I feel you, fall can't come soon enough.)
Ahhhh can’t wait to see what you think of A Million Junes! It’s one of my favorites. 😍 You’re so sweet!!! Thank you for the Instagram compliment. 🥺 I hope you love Crawdads as much as I did. I was so shocked and emotional at the ending!
Cait has a bookclub - the gothic book club and their reading Mexican Gothic this month! You should check it out if you haven't already! Especially if you want to read more gothic
I LOVED *Where the Crawdads Sing* and Kya has become one of my favorite protagonist. And *Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo* is my favorite read of this year and might be my new all-time favorite. It's absolutely BRILLIANT!! Even though I just read in January, I feel I need to reread.
I’ve read Where the Crawdads sing.. I’m not sure about magic elements you mentioned, but that book had me in tears multiple times. Very much worth the read.
Alexandra Roselyn hahaha! It happens! I felt compelled to warn you before you went in expecting something and got something else entirely. Also, I can’t wait, it’s starting to be cool in the morning where I am, and I’ve broken out the fall candles. As far as I’m concerned, summer can be over now. 🤣
I read School for Good and Evil years ago - may reread it this month. I am looking forward to reading The Jane Austen Society - she is my favorite author.
Girl!!! I've been looking for a booktuber like you! Someone who I love listening to but also recommends amazing books that I absolutely love! I'm so excited to have found you! Usually I like the person but not their book or I like the books but they dont represent them like I want! Yay!!!!
I TOTALLY CALLED THAT ON YOUR OTHER COMMENT!! :D its so nice to recognize you in the comments!! I love how active you are on there it makes me so happy!!
I just finished Hawk by James Patterson. It is the newest in the Maximum Ride series.
