I really like what you did with the wig and it's beautiful! Per instruction with Cold Waves or Permnant Wave (Perm) products, you cannot shampoo it for up to 24 to 48 hours. Thoroughly rinse for around 15 minutes in cool water until having little to no smell. You can reapply the process every 3 to 4 months but being that it's not a humans head up to 6 months. I'm a licensed stylist but I like watching other people videoes! Learning is everywhere!
I'm just wondering why your perm came out better than most of the perm videos on RUclips that I've seen done in salons on real human hair. Beautiful :-)
She mentions @ 3:10 that the instructions tell you to let it sit for 30-40 minutes, but she leaves it overnight. That could be a reason...

Abbeyxo yes i did . but my hair fell off .i guess its bc i had red hair dye in my hair . maybe its for virgin hair only . The hair salon charged me 80 and honestly it was a waste. i never got the curly hair at all, my hair is damaged and fried 😔

Lily, I want to do this to my hair topper which is straight. My natural hair is Spyro Curly and I cannot get the hair topper to keep a curl to match my natural hair. However, I am a rookie and have never permed before. You started with the hair already in the small rollers, I need a video on how to roll it, or at least some guidance please. In which direction do I roll the rollers in, or does it not make a difference? Also, am I supposed to use those little papers when I roll each section of hair? Please respond :-)

yikes the smaller the rods the better the results. As a general rule of thumb.. no. Within the rods you are using, sure, but we have perming rods that are thinner than the thin end of a chopstick. Smaller does not equal better, but you are right in thinking the larger the rod the worse the hold. Same with natural curls, just like how the wavy hair you were working with was hard to work with because waves don't stay in tact as well as tight as 2c curls.

It's permanent, the curls stay for a very long time.

That was a great job, but leaving the perm solution on that long was useless. It only is activated for so long and then it stops. I’ve never heard of anyone leaving perm solution on that long. Better to leave it on for 20 minutes as per the instructions and then rinse. You were lucky

The end result is very pretty. I have naturally wavy hair and I agree its too much maintenance believe it or not. I'm ready for something different :)

You can achieve the same look with jest curling moose and perm rods too ,but doing a real perm is good for women who don't want to switch UP their style
You can still blow dry and flat iron.

NOEMI CHAVEZ yes just make sure you try not to do it too often. use plenty on heat protection spray and deep condition when you wash your hair. don't blow dry with heat and use one of the things that stick on the end of the blow dryer. most of those thingys come with the hairdryer if you look on the packaging

You have to double up on the rollers with long hair, Wrap two rollers, one at the bottom and another one at the top on really long hair, if not the ends won't be as curly.

I'm sorry, "much better"?! You don't need better than this. These curls are AMAZING and extremely natural!
And I say natural because they are the same curls I had my whole life (up until my alopecia started acting out, and I lost most of my hair). I never curled, permed, straightened or even colored my hair, I loved it just the way it was. Now I'm trying to get it back with a wig. :)
