    yeah OPGI is hot garbage. BUT you gotta do research on these old cars and parts. the dash piece you got it a dash cap that is just meant to be glued over top the original cracked dash (whole stinky levels of garbage) and the console only really will work if you have an OEM shifter mechanism and shifter arm. most all of the Hurst/aftermarket Shifters and almost all of the shifter arms are not designed to work with a factory console setup. my recommendation for a company for chevelle stuff would be ss396.com and i would say you may be able to buy a longer shift arm and bend it/modify it to work with the console

    Hate to break it to ya....but that's how the original factory console came. Also, that's a dash cap..not a pad. They're all cheap like that. An actual dash pad will probably run you north of 500 bucks.

      Ya live in you learn. I also looked up 1968 chevelle dash pad and they all come up as "pad" so...
