Been missing the content like this while you've been building out the new shop. This was such a pleasure to watch. Thanks as always for the content and inspiration. I'll be finishing up an entertainment center in my own home this month thanks to the lessons I've learned from you and other youtubers after picking up woodworking a few years ago. Can't wait until I can try more fine wood working like this project in the future. Hope you are enjoying the new shop, sure looks like you are!
In my opinion you are worth more than $50 per hour and this piece is worth way more than $15,000.

@@ThirdCoastCraftsman Besides the expense ($15k) kinda big for my trailer home 😀 But seriously, anyone spending that much likely has big spaces… residential or commercial (think high-end office or condo lobby). They may want a pair and the 2nd build will undoubtedly be much quicker (more profit) than the first. Imagine the speed/profit on the 3-3k produced 😀

But to be fair, I think the design should be charged differently, specially if you would make more of those, or sell plans, or whatever monetization you could get from it. It would then make sense to dilute the design cost, and charge for your work, time, expertise and materials

Imagine the pressure the historical masters of these hand techniques felt when their kids needed shoes and they were building every day items in this way for customers with non-regal budgets... Those were true pros. Hard to imagine any of us could ever reach that level of skill and efficiency in today's world of convenience and machine made competition.

So many woodworkers on youtube try to post every week or more, either to satisfy the demands of their sponsors or just to create a ton of content. However a lot of it useless both as entertainment or education. I really appreciate that you post your content less often but it is always well worth the watch. I hope you can make this model work for you. Beautiful work as always.
