I think that if Haydn was alive he would be well pleased with the interpretation of his works by Giovanni Antonini !
The sound of the horns in G is fabulous !!! Giovanni Antonini ist a very great chief who has a total understanding of the spirit of this music, especially in the minuets.
Just a fabulous ensemble.
Haydn's output are always fresh and inventive.
Developing a greater appreciation for the lovely, fresh, inventive, intellectually satisfying symphonic output.. haydn is many things but boring he is not!.. thanks for this excellent upload:)

Hermosa música en todo momento y en todo tiempo!.
Il terzo movimento, in tempo di minuetto, è detto "Menuet al Roverso" (ossia al rovescio, diremmo oggi) perchè strutturato da Franz Joseph in modo che la seconda sezione sia semplicemente la prima eseguita all'inverso, ossia rovesciata, rendendo il movimento "palindromo" appunto (da cui il nome attribuito all'intera sinfonia 47).
Il nome del compositore è Joseph Haydn, ma ha spesso usato la forma italiana Giuseppe.
‘Franz’ è un nome battesimale e non è mai stato usato; allo stesso modo, non ci riferiamo mai a Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgang Theophilus Mozart.

No. This is il Giardino armonico. Antonini has been splitting his Haydn cycle between the two ensembles.
@@mishibird, giusto: Antonini ha eseguito il corpus sinfonico haydniano con i due complessi, alternando l'italiano 'Il Giardino Armonico', di cui è fondatore e direttore stabile, con la svizzera 'Kammerorchester Basel', di cui è direttore ospite pro-tempore.
