    For large pins like those, I now use eco-goldex and electro-winn the gold out. There should be a thick layer of silver on the pins, about the same weight as the gold. I’ve reduced my acid use by 100x. I’m glad you are dissolving the pins, you will get an accurate gold total for others looking to recover gold from pins.

      I don't think we can get the exo-goldex in Australia and if we did would be way more expensive than just using Nitric. At least last time I look into it.

      I dont know where to buy it. And from videos I've seen, it looks like too much waste and effort for small return

    Great so far. That is definitely using quite a bit of nitric so far. Hopefully it's close to being done. Looking forward to seeing part 2.

    I think you need to add more distilled water for the copper to stay in solution. It takes a lot of nitric to dissolve copper. Much more than silver.

    Hey bud are the fumes rusting and eating your roof above you ??? I put a 20 litre bucket with a lid on of AP in my brand new shed and few months later my hole shed inside is white rust and all metal things in my shed same rusted ??????

      the roof is already rusted out long before i moved in . so im not too bothered by it . if it was a good condition roof i would have done it somewhere else. the roof is already cactus

    I use acetone if soapy hot water doesn't work to clean my glass , then i rinse with iso to remove any grime left by the water.
