- Who's that carolling at your door?
We hope you enjoy the fourth and final instalment in our series of festive treats in the run up to Christmas day! Recorded at our most recent Messiah performance with the Royal Northern Sinfonia, we hope the Hallelujah Chorus gives you a warm, fuzzy, festive feeling.
Merry Christmas from HCS
absolutely brilliant 👏 thank u one and all
Back in the late 1950`s at Kirkburton Secondary Modern my music teacher was a member of the Huddersfield Choral Society . I lived at Storthes Hall and went to Farnley Tyas Primary school then to Kirkburton
Beautiful & excellent camera work !!!
Brilliant xx
Esta música me gustó mucho ❤lo adoro espero que las demás personas tambien les gusten amén y que Dios les bendiga a todos ❤☺🤗🙂😍🤩
An uplifting classical work of art. Handel is an amazing classical composer and a deeply religious man.
We have loved listening to these four Carols for Christmas. Thank you so much.
Fantastic energy! Many thanks.
Thank you for this uplifting Christmas gift. Joy to you all. Happy Christmas and may the coming year bring glad tidings.
Too fast knowing it should be enjoyed
What was the rush? Was the conductor rush’ing to catch a train? A far better performance from 1953 was 50 seconds longer . 😡😡😡
Too fast! God's word shouldn't be rushed but sipped and savoured like a vintage wine.
Not at all. How would you interpret a Handelian Allegro or vivace? The choice of tempo here doesn’t negatively impact on the voice or the choirs ability to convey the text. Perfect tempo choice and perfectly performed by choir and orchestra.
