  • Hi friends! I'm sharing this older Membership tutorial because I feel it's great for beginners and a wonderful refresher for seasoned artists too. I show how to make the basic banded frame, beginner style pendant, using square wires. I start all the way from the beginning showing how to straighten the square wires too. The bonus in this video is three designs! From the very basic 101 frame, I show how to add a wire, how to cut wire off, and then how to add more wire onto the frame for another more elaborate design.
I present good basic knowledge but my video editing was not up to 'snuff' back then.... sorry in advance for the occasional sniffle and the abundant 'ums' throughout the video. I've recently had major life changes so I don't have time for redoing this video edit right now, but wanted to share it with you anyway!
Please enjoy and thank you for watching! If you enjoyed this video, please hit the Like button, leave a comment and please subscribe to my channel for more awesome wire wrapping videos of all skill levels! I appreciate your support very much! xoxo

I love the simplicity and the fact that you can add on too. This helps me make some simple pendants for the guys. I am a fan of swirls...not men are. Great demonstration!

Thank you so much! I'm super happy this helps you with some pendants for the guys too, that was my hope. I will have more unisex designs in the future too. Thanks again!💞🌞

I’m hoping that one day you will do a tutorial on a flame shaped cab I have several as I gravitate towards that shape, but can’t seem to wrap them nicely due to the odd shape. Some people call it an “S” shape cab.

Well that was fun! I never much considered adding more wire but I often do cut wire off. I paused the video and hunted down about a half dozen basic wraps that were in my stock that are plain, boring, and never sold. They're all going to get a makeover tomorrow! I love this. Very inspiring!
Loved seeing you on the screen. It brings a personal aspect in that feels so friendly! You're a great teacher!🌹🙂

LOL, thanks Ann, that was me in my shop glory, purple hair and all. I'm so happy that you're inspired for some old stock upgrades! That's what I was hoping for too, I go to shows and see these wraps everywhere and sometimes, for more than one show I see them... i have a weird memory like that... anyway, I though, the plain wraps are beautiful but sometimes, they don't move, so this upgrade might help it out. Tag me and show me what you come up with! Many hugs!💞🌞

Great tutorial, I love the "chasing wire", I've never been able to get it look right. I can't wait to give it another try. Very informative, learning exactly where to place the pliers on the wire to make a curl, a swirl, flatten a wire end, or tighten a wire is extremely helpful. I've messed up so many pendants doing it wrong. Thank again for another great video 💙

Beautiful 😍 Thank you so much for your time. Enjoyed the tutorial, awesome as always. Very helpful, getting caught up this morning after a busy work week. I work at amazon so this is really refreshing for me.

Now I need to add 22 guage square wire to the supply. Love it! Got my board last weekend, had my grid paper, now I know what to do with it.

Thank you! In this and a couple videos I'm trying to show how we can put life back into older pieces that didn't sell yet, without wasting the existing effort or material.

Could I please ask where I would be able to buy one of the work mats you use? I'm in the UK Thank you very much for showing 'how too' from the very beginning 😊 I've always wanted to know how to begin wrapping stones and cabochons, also sea glass 😊

Welcome to my channel, Tracey! You can get that exact mat from Amazon, I have it linked in my Amazon Associates store too. www.perfectlytwistedjewelry.com/buy-tools-and-supplies.html You can search for Cricut Board or mat (that's the brand), there are many different mats and pattern grids, the exact one I use is in the link above. They are also sold in local craft and sewing stores if you have those near you, you might check there first, they are used in paper crafts and sewing crafts, sometimes polymer crafts now too and maybe by now, they might even be in the beads section too. They are used in many things. I hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
