    Hi friends! Here is another share from my Membership video tutorials! Enjoy this one until FREE Until Feb 28, 2025, it's a great one for Valentine's Day, so I thought I'd let you have it with plenty of time. I do this one in Gold Fill wires but it would also be gorgeous in Sterling, Rose Gold or even Copper! I hope you love the double stone technique and this elegant bale design. Much love!
    My arm is healing... the steroids were not a miracle but made things more comfortable. I am back to work but on a light basis. Thank you for your continued support! Much love! xoxo

    Where can i order ethiopian opals?

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  Год назад

      @maryweikel7167 Good morning Mary, welcome to Membership! I buy these opals at the Mineral show when it comes into town twice a year... you can find them in Etsy from searches for 'Ethiopian Opal Cabochon'... if you have a rock shop or a rock show that comes into town near you, it might be better pricing for them. Mary, when you join Membership, you have a new Membership community tab that appears on the home page of my channel as well as you also have new Membership playlists and videos as well as Membership Livestreams. Here is a link to those areas if you've not seen them...
      Membership community posts - where I give sources, livestream links, other posts with information regarding measures, etc... this is where I communicate to you Members, so there's a lot if you scroll down and check out the past months.

      Here is your Members Lounge where I put your Membership videos along with some free ones so you can find them easier.

    Stunning pendant ❤ I've sent this tutorial to my email's as it will be a while before I can try 😢 could I ask if it will stop after 28th Feb in my email's please?

      Thank you, Tracy, when you email a video, what you're doing is emailing a link to the video, so it will be available until the end of February, then after that, when you click the video from your email, it will take you to the video and ask you to join Membership if you'd like to watch it. It's still over a month away, perhaps you'll get it done by then! ;) Thanks again for watching! xoxo

    Well it is a gorgeous pendant. I was wondering if you could explain the polishing process. I heard you say something about putting it under a drum roll?? Could you describe that? Thank you.

      Thank you so much! The polishing process is by Dremel, this is a hand held rotary tool. I have a finishing video if you'd like to watch and near the end, I show the polishing. ruclips.net/video/MInH44yZk7g/видео.html

      @ I should open my ears. And I should have put 2 & 2 together. I heard drum roll. And I use a Dremel in wood carving. I also make wood jewelry. Anyway, I love your work.

    Can you tell me if there is a way for me to judge the quality of an opal? I haven't yet dared to wrap an opal. Aren't these stones very sensitive? How should I handle and care for them?
    I've seen two opals on Instagram that I like. One is 14x14x8 mm in size for $50. The other is 23x10x7 mm for $55. What do you think about these prices?

      Hi Eveline! Here is a link to the GIA, for Opal education... there is a lot about them and what type you are wrapping... Ethiopian Opals are more delicate than say Australian Boulder Opals... Ethiopian Opals have to be handled more delicately and they can not be soaked in water or solutions, making it more challenging to wrap and polish or patina the metal, etc, but there are ways. In regards to the quality of the Opals, I am not an expert but I will say that I normally purchase my opals in person from one of two or three dealers. Some sell online, some do not... from Instagram, you might check out @rareearthminingco ... they are a very reputable dealer and I think they have some opals too. Also you can check out Orca Gems in Etsy, they sell Australian boulder and lightening ridge opals. All the links are below... I am not an affiliate, I am a customer of theirs for years. I can't comment on the prices of your opals as I have no idea what they might be, ...you might consider looking into the links below, then shopping around via Etsy to compare prices and sizes... also weight.... size will mean more to you if you know the weight. You might also google the 'average price' per carat or gram for that type of opal... ? I hope these things help.
