Really appreciate this ranking. However, the as an avid iron man fan, I have correct some of the armor functions you may have slipped up on. Mark 41, Bones, is sort of a mark 42 prototype, in the fact that Tony was experimenting with detachable parts and independent function of its limbs. The Mark 40, or shotgun, is actually not built for combat but for speed. It is supposed to be the fastest suit as of Iron man 3, able to reach insane velocities. The mark 45 was the culmination of the mark 42 and 43, being the perfected version, it is basically the perfected extremis armor.
The Mark V is still my favorite suit of all time. It’s sleek, red and silver, the red is deep, and the suitcase suit up is still my favorite IronMan scene to this day.
My favorite MCU Iron Man Armors are: 1) Mark 85- It’s Classic Iron Man. 2) Mark 6- Love the triangle reactor. 3) Mark 5- Love the suitcase and the suit up details.
One of my favorite things about the mark 85 is that it really pays tribute to the classic iron man armors (60’s), the coloration of the armor really reminds me of the mark 3 in the comics and heck the arms and legs looks more like actual arms and legs rather than armor which was a staple in classic iron man armors.
In the comics, Iron Man has had some insanely OP cosmic armours like Celestial Armour, Endo Sym armour, Uru Armour, Ziran Armour, Galactus Buster, Phoenix Killer etc
I liked the Prime armor, the one that combined all of his suits in one, and could regenerate after being basically blown up. Also, vision couldn't phase through it.

My favorite is the Mark 85. I mean, it just takes a peek at this thing to understand how perfect it is. The Mark 47 is in second place, 46 in third, 50 in fourth, and 42 in fifth. I agree that the Mark 45 was very videogame-ish. It looked as if it was made out of plastic and that huge, rigid Chestplate didn't look comfortable. I like the concept of the Mark 5 but it's just not enough to make it to my list. Same with Mark 3.
I wouldn’t call it my favorite of all, but the mark 5 armor from Iron Man 2 was amazing. And it’s definitely in my top 5 favorite Iron Man suits. I mean, who didn’t like that suit up?! It looked awesome, and the more whit color of the eyes and the reactor, with red and silver, it’s so great.

My absolute favorite. Fun fact: It's RDJ's favorite suit as well, he was asked that in an interview promoting Endgame.
I think you should've mentioned the Marks 24 "Shades" and 26 "Striker". I looove the camo colors of "shades"; lame that it did nothing at all (just a heat resistance experiment). And the "Striker"? That dark gray body with yellow shoulders, jetpack, and arms just looks to business! Of course there's the next-in-line Mark 27 "Gamma" but the dark green doesn't stand out as much.
Mark 85 should have gotten back to the circular reactor. Only then would it go full circle and become the classic Iron Man model IV from the comics, as that's the first shape he used for a reactor in the MCU. .
I’m just gonna go over the main suits and/or suits that were intended for Tony, not exactly the Iron Legion from Iron Man 3, no War Machine, Iron Spider, and Rescue, but I will include the second Hulkbuster since I’m sure Tony made that for himself but Bruce happened to be the only one that used it Honorable mentions: Silver Centurion and Starboost (wanted to at least bring up my favorites of the Iron Legion) 16:MK 2 (it’s perfectly fine but all it’s really got going for it is that it’s the suit Tony used in his first flight) 15:MK 1 (it’s always gotta have credit for being Tony’s first suit (and in this case, being the first suit of the MCU) but I either prefer how the others look or what they do) 14:MK 42 (I like the design but man this thing could barely work properly (Tony seriously should’ve tried to get one of his better suits like the MK 6 or 7 in the house attack scene so he’d have an easier time, and yes I know the movie wouldn’t have gone as intended then, but Tony going onto the first floor of his house in this suit instead of one of his better ones just makes me question his brainpower at that moment)) 13:Hulkbuster V2/MK 48 (it looks good but it’s very much overshadowed by the other one for good reason) 12:MK 47 (nice reference to Ultimate Iron Man but doing that from the MK 46’s design just makes it look like the suit’s paint job is unfinished) 11:MK 4 (kinda like the Hulkbuster V2, it’s overshadowed by the MK 3 for good reason but I really like how this looks (plus it’s in one of my favorite fight scenes from the Iron Man trilogy with Tony VS Rhodey at Tony’s house)) 10:MK 45 (not exactly sure what to say other than I really like how it looks) 9:MK 5 (It’s got easily one of the best suit ups and looks very cool, I just prefer the other ones) 8:MK 43 (it’s the MK 42 done right and I find it to be very underrated) 7:MK 7 (in Armored Adventures Iron Man’s words, “Oh good, irony”) (wish we could’ve had some more time with this, it looks awesome, it also gets bonus points for being the suit Tony’s in when he’s alongside the Avengers for the first time) 6:MK 50 (taking away the mechanical parts of this does kinda stink but man this was quite something to see in action when Infinity War came out) 5:Hulkbuster/MK 44 (I was practically begging for this suit before Age of Ultron came out, so when that first trailer released and we saw this suit, you can bet I was excited, and the suit and its fight didn’t disappoint at all (I will always remember one vacation my family went on back in 2015 where me, my brother, and my dad went to watch the movie again in a theater, me and my brother were getting tired, but said “let’s go back after the Hulkbuster fight”)) 4:MK 6 (I just can’t get enough of this one, I think a big thing with this suit is how it’s the first suit that Tony fought alongside War Machine in, and they both looked like they might as well have come out of the 90’s cartoon which I used to watch a lot) 3:MK 46 (a live action version of one of my favorite armors in the comics might as well have been guaranteed to be high up here) 2:MK 3 (this did a more realistic Iron Man perfectly in my opinion, it’s also got my favorite suit up, and whenever I go back to it, when that face-plate comes down, it’s like “Oh yeah, the MCU has now officially begun”) 1:MK 85 (need I say more than what Pup did? “I love it 3000”) Edit:Ok, I recently rewatched Iron Man 2 for like the 40th time (what I really the like the movie, don’t judge) and now I’d swap the MK 4 and MK 45, MK 4 is now #10, and MK 45 is #11

First place for best live action Iron Man suit in my opinion would be the Mark 85 since it’s like a mixture of the classic comic book Iron Man armor and the modern Iron Man that’s used for the films. And my second favorite is the Mark 6 armor from Iron Man 2 and Avengers Assemble since it’s also got some classic Iron Man design elements thrown in there, but it’s brought up to date with the design from Iron Man 1.
