    This model only has that one m2 storage which was a real bummer for me when I bought it lol. Not sure how I missed it, I guess I looked at the lower models and assumed this one had the same slots but it didn't (this was top of the Inspiron line at the time). Whatever. Time to upgrade it finally.

    Hey! This video is great! I do have a similar issue with my SSD on this Dell model. Since the intel optane SSD isn’t that reliable, can you provide a list for better SSDs compatible with the Dell Inspiron 7706 2n1?

    Hello I have a question, I have this model of the computer and am looking to upgrade my ram, does the ram have to be from Dell or can I use another brand ram as long as it matches what my motherboard supports? Thank you!

      @ItsBinhRepaired  6 месяцев назад

      Any brand as long as the board supports it. Dell doesn't make RAM.

    Not sure if you’re on here much but my issue with my 7706 is when I plug the charger the light turns on for 3 seconds then goes off. Could I be having issues with the charger adapter ?

      Sounds like a motherboard issue.

    It's worth at least a buck if you can tell me why the on-board bluetooth in my 7706 2-in-1 is so bad. While connected to any of my bluetooth headsets, there are continuously short periods of garbled or missing audio, followed by similar periods of proper operation. It has not worked properly since new, to the point that I am using an external dongle. I'm loath to buy a new transceiver, since I'm not sure that is the problem. Is there any way to test the transceiver or the antennae for proper function?

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  Год назад

      Hmmm did you set them up as headsets for calls or speakers? The dongle works OK? Try with wifi off. Possibly loose antenna.

      @@ItsBinhRepaired I've set them up as speakers. I finally disabled the on board bluetooth and have gone to just the dongle, which works well with all my bluetooth devices, including connecting to my cell phone, as well as a repeater for my hearing aids, my keyboard and mouse. I've tried with just a headset, but same problem. Searching the internet turns up a lot of people with the same problem, but no workable solutions. The antenna connections are good, but I notice that the problem seems related to the position of my head relative to the screen, which sounds to me like a weak or obstructed signal. Have you seen anything to indicate that this particular machine might be susceptible to something like that? The dongle is plugged into a usb hub located about two feet away to one side, and works perfectly.

    • @ItsBinhRepaired

      @kirkmessinger3464 sounds like bad antenna.

      @ItsBinhRepaired Thanks for the confirmation. That's what I thought, too, but it's sucha simple piece of equipment that it seemed unlukely to be that. However, this particular machine was opened by the seller to install ram and storage upgrades, and I was reluctant to open it myself. The HDMI port is a bit touchy also, so I guess I'd better do some exploratory surgery.
