late but you can beat it with only battleship, a dps tower and a tower that at least moderately specializes in high hp crowd control
i did battleship + star of xovuso + oc but something like rail/rail mini would absolutely work for dps although youd likely have to micro it and submarine might work for splash crowd control but havent tested it
