Man this looks perfect on your wrist. I didn't think I'd like this watch and to be honest my wrist is about an inch bigger than yours, but this looks like the perfect size for your wrist! Pure class!
I bought a Rolex explorer I two tone 36mm from AD after considering everything like class, prestige, dress and sports watch, value, history, latest technological improvements, the most iconic clean dial, and that classiest look in January 2023. It runs 8 seconds slow in 15 days or 3.35 minutes slower in a year. After 2 years of wait list I finally got my watch for life. Please note big watches with date windows are a nuisance in the modern smartphone world. By the way great video.Thanks.! 💯🤔👍
Ppl always say 36mm is too small, its perfect dress watch size for gentlemen…BTW that Lume shot is just Amazing!!! Or maybe rolex is trying to put 36mm and two tone watches back to style so ppl will start buying them and not be on waitlist on bigger stainless steels
It's only perfect for some Tim. I have a 7.9" wrist and looked far too small on me. I had an idea it would be as I have a 37mm vintage dress watch and it is so small on me, my wife with a 5.3" wrist is now wearing it. I really think this Rolex is suitable for smaller wrist gentlemen and ladies who don't want the usual ladies style watch.
@@rousseau327 I never said that, did I? I said it "looked far too small for me." I expressed a personal preference only. My wife thought it looked too small also, like a lady's watch were her words, however that may have been because she wanted it!😉 Anyway, my comment was 2 years ago, she's still wearing it, and as I've added rowing to our mountaineering pastime, my wrists are now 8 1“ so it would look even smaller. But there's no rule, wear what you want.
@@brianmsahin You actually said "looked far too small ON me", which does not imply personal preference, especially when coupled with your subsequent take on what kind of person this watch would be best for. And while I'm sure your opinion today is "wear what you want", that doesn't exactly mesh well what you said earlier on what kind of person suits your vintage dress watch. Wouldn't have chimed in if you had said it's too small for you, and didn't specify exactly who you think ought to wear this watch lol.
I thought the same and then tried it on the other day. I also have the 39mm but this 36mm was immediately too small. Bracelet also felt and looked dainty. Go try it on if you can. I think you will be happy that the 39mm is the right size. It really is the perfect most stunning all round watch. My wrist is 6.5.
Thanks for the amazing video as always. I'm really considering the new 36mm steel Explorer. The previous 39mm one was a bit too large for my small wrist and taste, but the 36mm could really work. This could replace the IWC Mark XVIII in my collection.
It’s a lovely watch indeed, now in the original size of 36mm. I do think that the Explorer 39 was a gem too. It’s just a bit sad that Rolex has killed the whole 39mm line; first the OP39 and now Exp39.
I’ve tried the SS version in my AD, and for my 7 inches and 60mm wide wrist, sadly is too small for me…and I have and love a white 36mm DJ (previous ref. with the wider lugs) that wears much larger. Although, it’s a very nice and proportioned watch. You did it again , this is the best review of the new explorer I’ve seen. Thanks
All tool watches from Rolex are homages to the past. To do them in precious metal makes perfect sense to me. We don't need them in steel or gold but we love em. The 36 wears well on you but especially in the bi metal the 36 is more feminine looking than say the 39 or.. But that's certainly a look sought by both men and women. I like it even if it's not for me. Elegant but still cool piece. Great video Hafiz.
its beautiful! I'm stuck between OP 36 & Explorer 1 36mm... I wear more smart-casaul to business-casual. What would be the better watch with my style? I need serious help
Great review. Nice to see Rolex go back to the original traditional case size. I ordered the 36mm SS version to replace my current 39mm Explorer which is soaring in price now that it’s been discontinued.
I noticed there are two dots under the crown’s logo in your video. I have this watch in SS and under the crown’s logo there is a straight line instead. What’s the reason for that difference?
Though your next video will compare the Exp36 with the OP36, would you, at least in the segment of the forthcoming video, show also a side by side with the Tudor BB36? TIA.
Great video. Thanks. I have bought the all-steel version and love it. The only thing is that it seems impossible to have the minute hand right on markers all the time when the second hand reaches the 12 marker. I noticed on your video that it seems to be the case with your watch also. Minor point for me anyway. Keep up doing videos !
When I wore this Explorer 36 it seemed small on my 52 mm wrist span but it looks appropriate on your 55 mm. Why is that? Is it the third person perspective? Will it look fine on my 52 mm span, 6 inch wrist
Great review. I love the return to the traditional size, but wish they had toned down the numerals. Really not sure about that extreme bracelet taper either. The less said about the gold variant, the better - but I know they were first to market!
I agree with you, but what do people with a big wrist 7.5 inches upwards? 39 was already a big tight. Thats why 41 for slightly bigger arms would be perfect, my opinoin.
Not keen on the two-tone. Love the design of the SS Explorer. Always have. But for me at least (7.25inch wrist) this watch is just far too small & dainty. So wished Rolex had maintained a 39mm version as well - the grey market for those now is just silly. Great review. Thank you.

@@chrisgillis7217 so after I got it my head fell off thinking it was too small ( I already had the 39mm explorer). I then wore it for a week and I’m now obsessed. I’ve now sold the 39mm as the dial now looks too vacant and big
