I really hope that in the next 10 years we will see map mergers... Sinai, Syria and the coming Iraq should really be merged, at least optionally for those who have any of those... this could pave way to a propee DCS:World
I agree...and we don't need details between the maps... just need to be able to fly seamlessly from one map to another. Basically they need a Global Earth Terrain UNDERLAY.....
They did say awhile back or maybe even last year thats the goal in the long run is for you to be able to fly between maps somehow seamlessly so lets hope one day

The best map is the old Caucasus with those airports in the crimea peninsula we lost after the creation of dcs but were indeed part of lock on and flaming cliffs

I installed the latest Pimax Crystal patch and wow! DCS is running over 100 fps in VR on the DCS Dogfighters server all of a sudden. It crashed a couple times on me though.

There´s "green maps" like the Kola map, there´s also the South Atlantic map, the Normandy, But yes, if i have to choose the next map it would be 100% Balkans map.
Onretech still hasn't fixed Hatzerim's TACAN channel (5 second edit on notepad) but they're working on renders for a whole new map region and adding new airbases when old ones are still full of issues. K.
The biggest problem with creating more maps is the splitting of the already small player base among the various maps in multiplayer and the cost in single player. Hard to enjoy a large map like Kola when no one else flies on it.

ED needs to listen to its customers, and its customers ask for Vietnam map and an improved map of the Caucasus: popular Crimea and Southern region of Ukraine.
New maps are cooking old bugs stayed, check top 10 servers only 2 maybe 3 maps are being used fix the bugs fix the modules then do maps no one needs a new map.
Honestly, I've had enough with all this maps/modules hyping. DCS still has tones of core issues and bugs on basic stuff, that can really keep you back from enjoying modules. For example, we have all those choppers in the game and still, infantry units can't be dropped on a zone and follow assigned waypoints (in multiplayer, in single player it might work). Sling load and crew animations are awful, collision models on maps are off (you might cross a bombed but seemingly un-cratered taxiway and suddenly fall in hell...), weather phenomena are still quite basic and whenever the users get fed up, they get this "It's still early access!!". Yeah buddy, I can't be paying anymore for something that stays in early access for 4+ years and that I don't know if it's gonna work in the next update, it's just not fun anymore. And there really isn't a reason to buy every single map, as lots of people do. Unless you're planning to fly single player campaigns on them, but don't expect for all of them to appear on mainstream public servers.
Since update 2.9.8.1107 my game doesn't work and my CPU is fully occupied😤 So far I'm in contact with DCS but no one could help me... does anyone else have this problem?
If ED is watching this or reading this! FIX YOUR DAMN BROKEN MODULES AND MAPS before pushing something else out to earn more money from your customers! Afghanistan map still isn't completed. At least the Kola map is getting regular updates. Sorry to vent Andrei, but getting tired of broken modules, maps and lies from ED.
I miss the wild west times when we got updates every week or two and it was a constant two steps forward one step back with new shit and old being broken, that was the norm and people made it work and had fun with it. So much of the user base now just cry nonstop over every little thing. People need to get over the mentality that the world should be perfect and the devs are here to cater to them. The game has never been perfect and it never will be. Still a banger of a game tho =D

I think they have developed some auto tools which would speed up the terrain development.

Hi, what CPU do you have? have an i7 9700k and DCS saturated my core n1 ,and the game would freeze for several minutes,with Process Lasso I solved it
