I'd rather watch and listen to Elvis rehearse than to watch most of today's artists perform full production. People tell me that I love Elvis and his music too much, that it's too old, and I need to get "with the times". No thank you....the rest of you can move on and "get with the times"....I'm staying here with Elvis. Besides, he and his music is and will forever be TIMELESS!

We are fortunate indeed that the film crew was there recording this ''rehearsal''. To see his ''method'' over the course of the first part of the TTWII documentary (of his preparation for and return to Vegas) is highly instructive. Professionals study this like it is ''the'' way to do it. Right down to being fully dressed for the occasion, giving his all, even dancing, keeping it loose as he develops rapport with his band. Man, he was the Bull of the Woods. I bet those top of the line musicians behind him were PETRIFIED of blowing it in front of Elvis Presley, but when it works and really comes together (this is as good as the studio version, maybe better), then the payoff is huge. He lifts them to to where they play at the peak of their ability. His genius as a band leader rarely gets mentioned

@trei3000 You got it. The man is seriously underrated, as strange as that may sound. He was so much more than just a singer. He was his own producer of his records throughout the biggest part of his serious career. He was an arranger. He was the conductor of his band and orchestra. He was the big attraction of his show and carried that load. 2 or 3 shows a day. 4 to 5 weeks in a row. Nobody could do all that but Elvis. It killed him in the end. Think August 1975. That is the turning point.

Dave Wiseman I’m 52 and have been a fan all my life too. My aunt used to be beat friends with Becky Clancy and she took me to Graceland once when I was 6 years old and I met Elvis. I was there for most of the day and played with Lisa Marie, I remember Elvis chasing us both and I played in her room and in Elvis’ bathroom with her dolls and her dogs. I have wonderful memories of that day and I only wish I was older to appreciate where I was and who with!! T.C.B⚡️

Elvis did work his ass off to give fans the best of himself. no special effects, etc, He was just that good. Get with the times? People who wouldn't even have rock music or the opportunity to have careers if Elvis hadn't come first! Everyone old & young still love him today because he was that good. You think anyone will listen to Beiber 35 years after his death? Doubtful. There was only one Elvis & he was unique beyond what we can wrap our heads around!

I was born in 1965 and as far back as I can remember my mom and all my aunts loved this guy I still can remember my mother playing the 45 s . But as of today I still listen to this man. On iTunes. And have a list of all most ever song he did . Elvis is the definition of cool .my dad and all my uncle had that coal black hair as Elvis sideburns and all .to look at old pictures of back then it was funny the thing was my dad was around 5 foot 5 and his brother was 6 foot 4 my father came from a large family there was 18 kids so I had to listen to a lot different types of music from country to the blues to rock from the big bobber to Johnny cash to john Denver to Kenny rogers but some where in all those artists Elvis was the one they played the most from hound dog to blue Christmas and everything in between.
