Excellent video, for years now we run a dehumidifier in our van for a few days when we get back early or late season to remove any moisture from a weekend living in the van and also run It 1 day a week when it's layed up in the winter we have never suffered from damp but my van is at home so not easily done if in storage

Hi thanks for getting back to me. I don't know why manufacture have to get involved with the customer. If there's a problem the dealer must have the nohhow to make a decision on most warente clames.for me going back to the manufacture is just a northern layer .making the process a bit more frustrating the customer must trust the dealer why don't the dealer

The problem is that we (dealers) are governed by what we can fix and how much we get to fix it by the manufacturers, the overall ’trust’ part of the deal I think is still with the manufacturers, yes we can soften to blow, or make it worse depending on the dealer, but if the buck stops with the dealer and a caravan gets rejected, it would soon not be worth the risk to sell them.

Main cause of damp here in NZ anyway is wet clothing and towels left inside and washing a few clothes and hanging inside in the sun...... water evaporates and gets into blinds and upholstery.......so many people do this in their homes as well and create the effect of leaks etc

Yes, I’ve never quite got to the bottom of how long it takes to cause damage, I suppose it depends on how bad the leak is and how much it’s been raining.

excellent video, I am guessing water ingress can happen very quickly as the caravan is towed there is movement allowing seals to fail at any time ?

@@overthehill1986 yep, definitely, it’s the main advantage of it, and will do, going to be getting people using 12v multimeters and 240v volt sticks soon, definitely worth knowing how to use them.

Hi we all know manufacture can not get it right all the time But it's the way they deal with the problem it's Not good enough at all this the area most people loosing the confidence in the manufacture it's not good the way they are dealing with problems doing or ignoring the customer will not improve the problem and the customer doesn't forget this sort of treatment 😢
