I'm listening from NZ🇳🇿. Love the Irish, they are superb people ☘️♥️. I have been avoiding listening to Bible prophecy lately because it's been creating fear in me. I have never really experienced assurance of my salvation. It's been a struggle since childhood. There were no big bangs or tongues or angels singing as I trusted upon the blood of Jesus to save me. I'm not in a church. Solid Churches are hard to find in our small part of the earth. I listen to sound teaching online. I had an experience that led me to read John 1,2&3 and when I saw 1Jn 5 v 13, I knew God was saying it to me. Despite the fact I'm no super christian. I APPRECIATE the way you preach. You are totally truthful but you add in the light relief 🙂. I love that you speak about navigating what's in front of us right now, as we wait for Jesus. His mercy is enough for us! No need to have special experiences. In fact, sometimes Christians start to "worship" their own experiences and imagine that it was those experiences that save them. It's a blessing of a kind that you have no special experiences, only the Word of God and its promises.
As long as your heart was transformed, to love truth and want to share the Good News, you have nothing to fear. P.S. The work is not done by human doings, it's done by the Holy Spirit!
Assurance of salvation will be experienced by you when you realise you cannot be saved by anything YOU have done or can do. Simply put your trust in Jesus Christ and HIS work on the cross to be saved. Reckon His word to be true and stand on His promises. I'm praying for you. I've been in your shoes. on Christmas all I had was $13.00. I had to buy 1 game for the whole family. I had no car, kids needed boots & shoes. I had to walk kids to appointments which was 13 times in 1 week, & try not to forget 1 had 1/2 day of school. I shopped with a baby carriage & if I lost any more weight I would disappear Lol. I hope you can find a church & maybe they can start a free clothing & food ministry to on a Saturday. God bless you & I feel for you.
