I've recently left my church of 17 years because of a cowardly pastor who won't even mention current events or pray for Israel ..for that matter he never prays for any national problem we're facing..I prayed about leaving for 6 months, and God confirmed for me that I needed to leave a church that had no spine... fortunately I found another church that teaches prophecy and solid doctrine verse by verse..Thank you for speaking on this tough issue, it reaffirms my decision. God Bless this ministry❤

I left a very liberal Church because they voted demoncRat and even had poliTrickcians in the pulpit lying. The last straw was when the announcer said in 2018 “go out and vote like you did for “obamination” that was my last time at that woke liberal “church”👎🏽
And the Pastor at the church got vaccinated & boosters; he had been clear of cancer but, after vaccination the cancer came back with a vengeance. He died a year ago from cancer.

Too bad folks feel they need to leave. It is true that some pastors take the stance to only preach the Gospel, not current events. (and it is true they probably do have folks from both political parties in the congregation) None the less, if someone is preaching the Gospel and sticking only with scripture, folks out to come to conclusions about politics. For instance, 'thou shall not kill' = abortion is wrong...without saying it from the pulpit. If you follow that thought through...how could one then choose to support a candidate (or party) that advocates for killing? If you preach through Genesis (Adam & Eve) and the Gospels where Jesus said God made them male and female, that ought to be enough for believers to decide about where they stand on lgbtq issues. A pastor might hesitate to preach social issues on Sunday morning, but a Bible study on the side during the week could accomplish that. @Rose, you or someone you know could have approached the pastor and requested to lead such a study. There are certainly others at your church interested as well. Paul writes that we ought to ALL be teachers. Take the LEAD! Believers can't simply get mad at the pastor.

I go to a tiny Calvary Chapel church and I am so thankful that my pastor is bold with scripture, loves and prays for Israel and includes all verses of eschatology as he preaches verse by verse.

People get saved by learning and studying Bible prophecy!
So many church leaders are Biblically illiterate, interpret the OT and NT prophecy as allegory & make fun of people who are watchmen. We sat with an elder/overseer group of men who mocked us for trying to sound the alarm. We’ve been told so many times that we’re being divisive as we’ve asked questions about what’s being taught or what’s NOT being taught. We are trusting the Lord and walking forward in faith. We are now hosting a small home church on Sundays. He will lead us! ❤

Yes, our Calvary Chapel has been silent, or at least the main pastor. The worship pastor prayed the day after Hamas attacked Israel and the retired pastor was asked to teach since he knew more, but it was 6 months after the war started. If there was someplace else to go, I’d be gone.

It's HARD to be a pastor! Why not help him out????? Ask him if you can come give a short 2 minute update on Sunday regarding Israel in the news. You might also consider having a small group Bible Study around the Bible as it speaks to Israel and current events. That may help the Bible come to life for a lot of people....trust it more....trust God more etc. Be part of the solution!

My Family and I are members of Pastor Billy Crone’s church. We also follow all of Pastor Brandon’s teachings. We found Pastor Billy after being in a seeker friendly church, where we wasted 10 years. The Pastor there never even shared the gospel, but his own version of it.
I have given many of Todd’s books as gifts for new believers. I also highly recommend Ariel ministries to understand the Jewish roots of the bible, Dr Arnold Fruchtenbaum has really helped our spiritual growth the past two years.
    God bless!

Had to leave church silent on current events. Found church that teaches gospel, but also truth about current events. Recently had series about biblical worldview on current events. Now, senior pastor teaching Revelation because he “couldn’t retire without teaching a series on Revelation.” It seemed he had been hesitant to teach Revelation but got the courage to teach it because we need to hear it. Interestingly, the women’s and youth ministries both had message series on Revelation in the last few years.

you wrote: Interestingly, the women’s and youth ministries both had message series on Revelation in the last few years. I'm betting it's because they CHOSE to have one! I'm tired of hearing people complain that the pastor doesn't say or teach this, that and the other thing. Paul writes that we should ALL be teachers. Find someone you approve of who does a video series on REV and do a class! Or have a home group and show videos on You Tube. A very good and thorough teacher I personally like is Dr. Andy Woods of Sugarland Bible Church. He has a whole series (broken down into short segments) on the Book of Rev, on the pre-trib rapture. I'm sure you can find a good handful of people who would come for this topic.

Fear is a powerful thing, but if these pastors are teaching God's Word then why don't they start with 1John 4:4 greater is He that's in you than he thats in the world! That includes telling the truth no matter what the consequences. I'm praying for and standing with Israel 🇮🇱 🙏 through churches like Rock Harbor!!

    Hello, and God bless.
About 3, 4 years back we were attend a Church here in San Antonio, beautiful wonderful people attended the Church, yet, as we were attending, on Sundays the Pastor would tell his congregation that he had email and personal requests for him to teach and preach on the Book of Revelation. He announced that he refused to handle the Book from the pulpit because he believed he was not qualified to teach on the Book of Revelation and he said he just simply does not understand it. He told his congregation, if they are interested, they should do their own research on their personal time.
Also, as we attended we came to understand that the worship leader was a lesbian and her girlfriend sat in the front row, and during service message time on Sunday morning they were seated arm and arms. The Pastor clearly defended them.
( i'm personally all for anyone attending Church, yet some point, we all need to recognize we are all sinners and need to be redeemed by Christ and repent).
The Pastor by the way, was a very nice man.
Now our family attends a conservative Baptist Church in a different part of town.
I realize no Church is perfect, and I'm not perfect, but I strive to follow Christ and His Word.
    - Debbie

I was re-reading "Knowing God" by J.I. Packer and in the first chapter his first point on evidence of knowing God is that they stand firm when they see anti-God trends around them. He says, "While their God is being defied or disregarded, they cannot rest; they feel they must do something; the dishonor done to God's name goads them into action." He makes a good point. It's sad to think, but he published this book in 1973 which likely means he was seeing "Christians" being silent even back in that time.

Many pastors don’t realize they have a huge responsibility for their flock- if they’re not willing to preach the full council of God then why step in to the role? If people don’t want truth then let them go , but a pastor should not be afraid of ‘offending’ people with truth , especially in these dark times. Even a weekly or monthly newsletter via email or door handout on current events would be better than nothing …
