    I appreciate the casual vibe of these videos, I’m glad I’m not the only one suffering with this defensive AI 😅 nice job!

      Love to hear that, casual is what we're going for! These games are supposed to be fun, despite the defensive AI frustrations haha

    Honestly feels like the Flexbone was neglected considering how much we had in 14 and the years prior.
    Especially the formations. Needed the unbalanced WR (over) formation and a single TE formation (tight right/left).
    Also would have liked to seen Belly G and OSV for those people running tite fronts.
    Tags in the run game would be cool. We have all these tags for the past game-but we can’t do something as simple as have a WR crack the near safety or have the A-back load block the bear inside backer that keeps scrapping hard.
    These things are critical when play calling the Flexbone in real life. I do understand it would be OP in this game.

      Yeah it would be great if they could add some additional formations and tags, but like you said keeping it balanced might be difficult. As long as the playbooks are locked though it would be nice to have all the help I could get if I'm using one of the Armed Forces Schools!

      I agree. The playbooks are dried out compared to older versions. They also have other formations, and plays that aren't in this game. I've always strictly used Flexbone, Wishbone, Maryland I, and the playbooks are definitely stripped. I also can't stand the new handoff exchange system. Been playing the series since it came out in the '90s, and we've always hit x to hand off to the fullback.

      There is a skill gap with running this offense and it is understanding how, when, and why you are calling the play that you're calling.
      The fear of it being OP comes from any player being able to pick up the sticks and run this offense right out of the box, which is impossible, because (once again) this offense requires a steep learning curve to learn WHEN to call each play and WHEN to use each formation.
      It is this exact reason why the Service Academies can put up crazy numbers against other schools and then turn around and have a tough time doing anything other than punting and kicking field goals against each other simply because they understand HOW and WHY the offense works.
      The only plays that they are able to use right out of the box are the plays that they use now.
      The only difference is that flexbone players will be able to run our offense effectively (just like every other scheme) which can be beautifully frustrating to play against.
      I'm just hoping that more of the base plays and formations will make it back into the game once the season starts.

      @@Slackarelli haha! I remember you from Operation sports. I really do wish they'd bring more plays back. The formations, and plays seem a little stale, then again a lot of them wouldn't work on the previous versions.
      For me, the main problem I'm having right now is the dreadful, unnecessary handoff exchange. I don't know why they changed it after all these years, and I simply don't care for it.
      In real life I'm a Michigan fan, but I'm also a HUGE Navy fan. My brother-in-law played football for Navy during the Ricky Dobbs era. He even got recruited by Paul Johnson himself before he jumped over to Georgia tech.

    I started a dynasty with Navy. It’s fun to run it. Just need to remember when it’s auto hand off and not. Finished a different dynasty at #1. Ended up the 5th seed. Conference championship helps

    This looks a lot of fun. What team would be fun to use this playbook?

    • @OldManTrying
      @OldManTrying  3 месяца назад

      Alabama would probably be the best, but I think Kansas would be right up there too with their QB/RB combination if they ever allow us to choose playbooks. Of the teams that I've used I think Navy is the best

    this is honestly a good playbook if you know how to use it really well.

    • @OldManTrying
      @OldManTrying  3 месяца назад +1

      Yeah I can definitely see how it would be, mixing up the runs with some of the sneaky good pass plays they have in there could be really tough to defend

      100%, I get in a bad habit of deciding what I'm going to do before the snap instead of reading the defense. It's a fun offense to try out though!
