As we grow older, you make new connections and lose connections (growth). The beauty of life is to form friends organically because those connections will always be genuine. Whether thats through run clubs, gyms, or commonalities among things you like, like tennis/pickleball tournaments/events. Great video Tiger Sisters, and some of my best friendships were formed online/organically.
Hi Tiger Sisters! I love what you mentioned about friends being a complimentary relationship and being flexible with friendships! As a college student, navigating a time where I'm constantly meeting new people, I found this super insightful!
Hey, first of all a HUGEEE thanks to both of you for sharing this kinda content. Actually feels like my own sisters giving me advice! Could you also talk about how can one prepare him/herself before starting with an MBA/business school? Like what kind of books, hobbies, activities, etc. can one invest in to make the best of their b-school experience (professional & social both!) Or, how to best utilise 2-3 months before starting MBA because it's going to change you a lot as a person & you aren't gonna get this time back.
You can always make new friends if you are curious. It's also fun to make friends with people who were mere 'acquaintances' years ago. Thank you for the question. Thank you for fielding this.
Quality set up. Topics were excellent choices. Can you discuss more about the dynamics is B school relationships (other students/profs) vs dynamics in current professional relationships?
I loved the role play conversation about the conflict resolution which is incredibly difficult but crucial to do, can you make an episiode regarding this for how to deal with difficult people - more of in a corperate business setting?
Yes, this is a fantastic question and we wish we knew what we know now earlier in our careers. Will definitely speak to this topic, thanks for the suggestion!
For the life of me I can’t figure out why there’s such a variance in y’all language and linguistics 😂😂. Jean cannot be more than 6-9 yrs older than Cherie, yet y’all’s idioms, slang, and expressions go over each other’s head. 😂😂😂😂 Either Jean is an old soul or Cherie is way way way in touch with older Gen Z slang or friends group is more on the younger, “preppy” side. For the record, I’m 30 and some of Cherie’s slang is over my head or how my friends communicate in SoCal 😂😂
