I was so tempted to put your name in the thumbnail. Hahhaah. Still think it's giving the main brands a 'free pass' to make heavy bikes though, as they list weights without pedals...
I have ridden more than 5000km (with roughly 200.000m of climbing) on my Sothea Team Edition since June..I live in the Franch Alps and I have raced it in all my GF this summer (got a couple of wins, like the Megeve-Mont Blanc 120km M2 age category), I can confirm all Joe has said..super fun to ride uphill but also pretty stable downhill, geometry is "standard" and allows for a forward position ideal for mountain terrain....I definitely reccomend the frame, only possible limiter indeed the tire clearence but for the type of racing I do and my weight 28mm is more than enough
I've been riding one of these for the past few months (~1,100 miles) and put simply, it is a fantastic bike. It's quite stiff, looks great (I even like the name), and the build quality is phenomenal. The Bigrock brand integrated bars are very nice as well. I've had a few carbon Cannondales over the years, and none of them have had a carbon layup nearly as clean as the Bigrock. The bearing seats are tight, the bb and brake mount facing are perfect. I'd say the build quality was impeccable, but it did have two issues; First, the headset cover rubbed the frame when preloaded. This was an easy fix, but is still worth mentioning. Second, the derailleur hanger/thru axle chip sandwich was a bit out of spec. I had a creaking issue that was tough to track down, but after filing ~0.5mm from the threaded thru axle chip, the issue was solved. Considering the price to quality ratio for what you're getting with the Bigrock, I really can't complain about the two imperfections though. It's funny that Joe mentioned it, but my first thought upon riding the Bigrock was that it felt almost exactly like my old Supersix... only better by nature of the large tire clearance and disc brakes. I'm running 700x32 Vittoria Corsas by the way, wouldn't go any bigger though.
Funny that you agree about the Supersix comparison, haha. Which headset cap rubbed the frame? I'm always curioius in those situations if its the frame (paint?) too thick, or the headset cover is too big. I think more frames should provide little shims to get that gap perfect, because different colour paintjobs will have different thickness... Overall, glad you're enjoying your bike. :) How much did the finished build weigh?
@@ChinaCycling Anyone who has spent time on an OG Supersix Evo should know how much of a compliment to the ride quality and handling that comparison is. Built up with Ultegra Di2 and a Quarq pm, it's right about 15lbs. Not bad for the regular mod frameset in size large! No weightweenie parts on either, other than maybe the 1,200 gram 9velo wheels (really happy with those as well). The headset cap that I had an issue with was the hidden cable cap that came with the integrated bars. I could have used spacers to solve the issue, but the cover warped slightly when torqued, so I elected to selectively remove a bit of material with a nail file instead. Overall not a big deal, or at least it wouldn't have been had I discovered the issue before installing the hoses!
nice review joe. the last review was very good too and decided to take 1 for a climbing/relax bike. Have one xxs 45 deep red frame myself from a major distributor in vietnam. i removed all the bolts, thru axles, and adapters, totally naked frame still weighs 641g total. i hope buyers don't expect 603~610g from the actual frames they will be disappointed.😂 Not an issue for me so much. After 3 months of saving i may be able to finish my bike soon hopefully before xmas and start my rides in Da Nang roads and mountains!: )) safe rides and more power to the channel.
I think "metal accesories" includes the bottom bracket insert. I guess you didn't take that out >_< haha. Impossible to know. I'm sure it will ride great though!
I think it would be really helpful to showcase a bigger size frame built up...so I can see how a large looks or at least a medium. Love your videos, and i am a customer of yours!
@@ChinaCycling The rims look a lot like Light Bicycle AR25 to me. Cant figure out the hubs though. Hoping they are THR Industries RX, but maybe they are 6 bolt R3s? I think the AR25 with the nonplus hubs are nice though a costly option.
I think their logic is they don't wanna put a heavy paint job on a light bike... The direct mount hanger is available for shimano rear mechs. We don't list it on the site, but send us a message and we'll sort you out.
Thanks for the breakdown! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Still don't think I'm qualified to talk about MTBs. I've seen a few in the flesh now, and they're just as beautiful as the G-Major. Very temped to build one up... but I'd just not get the most out of it...
I think there's definitely a sweet spot for bike weight, particularly with wheels too light and you loose stability. I'm gonna say it's around 7 1/2 kg for bike as a whole and 1500g for wheelset.
Progressive geo+short stem for road bikes is the way to go to issue toe overlap. Fork offset also helps. And the handling would be as good with some thoughts. Spending thousands and risking to go on the floor with toe overlap is just so disrespectful for the end user.
I am actually against light bikes. Somewhat have a feeling that they are not meant to last. Even regular bikes happen to crack and damaged by regular use, lack of material got me thinking.
No logo, just bare minimum paint for uv protection would be lighter still. Why go for weight then add a bunch of paint and a logo nobody in the west wants?
As an owner of chinese branded frames on a couple of my bikes i have to say the brand names suck for most part. Imagine rolling up at the club ride on a bike named 'bigrock'
Nice review but Itd be nice if you had someone ride and review frames, wheels and components that are a bit closer average heigh and weight. I like your reviews but a lot of your opinions have to be taken with a grain of salt because you dont weigh much
I don’t give a sh*t how well the bike rides if I have to explain “BigRock” to everyone who sees it. FFS, Chinese bike companies, get someone who speaks English to name your brands.
That’s how you weigh a bike 👏
I was so tempted to put your name in the thumbnail. Hahhaah. Still think it's giving the main brands a 'free pass' to make heavy bikes though, as they list weights without pedals...
literally aethos backwards lol
holy crap i never realized

Would the 32s hold up to gravel use in regards for mud clearance? Also, does the fork use 1-1/8 or 1-1/4? thanks!
Be better with no logos.
and no name, seriously
Who doesn't like to ride a BIGROCK in style...
or change R into C 😝
Could it be had with blacked out or greyed out logo?
@@daviddang82 ive got a yoeleo with no logos on..ordered it that way

Spoke to a rider from Hengxiang at Tour de Langkawi today... He said the new version of Ltwoo runs really well!
Thx for insight, waiting for it to become available outside china and likely I will buy it.
Buy 105. Ltwoo needs a lot of werk.
Another great video Joe, thanks! Can't wait to see that new climbing wheel review video!!
when can I get the rim brake version?
Looking forward to the BigRock Camrat review!
If they ever want to sell bikes in the US, they have to change that Walmart brand name.
agree, chinese bike brand names are so shit... bigrock, magene, yoeleo, 一个个听起来都太他妈土了
Especially the 'skrow-s' version.
Still waiting on that Winspace story joe
Desperately needs a rebrand, but otherwise looks good.
Dont you love a stiff big rock between your legs?
Can you get it without the awful logos?
Do they make a rim brake version?
You mention rim brake for climbing. What's the best rim brake frameset available today, without rear chainstay brakes
Are there any good chinese tt/tri frames you can put up for review? Love the contecnt!
The best I've seen is the Pardus one, but it's super expensive. LIke... >$2000 USD.
if you compare to other brand this bigrock what bike brand have same characteristics with this bigrock? i mean the ride experiences and the stiffness
How do I get everything I need from you to build me the same bike (the first one)?
Email sales at panda podium dot cc. :) My team will help you out.
I think it would be really helpful to showcase a bigger size frame built up...so I can see how a large looks or at least a medium. Love your videos, and i am a customer of yours!
That's heightism.
I have got an M size, in case you have any question/doubts

Unbranded saddle, I found it on taobao
I wish the Team Edition had more colour options. Also is there an option for a direct mount hanger?

Hello what do you think about Pardus frames and bikes ?
Kind regards.
They're good, but they're not cheap. Many people in the west wouldn't accept such high prices from an "unknown" brand.
Thanks for the breakdown! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Please do full suspension XC mountain bike review of the Voice bike you have on Panda podium. Does it really weigh that much?

what computer mount is that?
Which out front mount is that on the first bike?
It comes with the EXS stem
@@ChinaCycling I’ll have to wait till you get this in stock then! Cheers
mum, my comment got mentioned by Joe!!!
You're basically famous now. Skip the queues to all the best nightclubs, etc.
Hey mate - have you ridden the bigrock aero frame ? Thoughts ?
Only briefly. My colleague Ben has a few months on it. Will steal it from him for a longer ride one day soon.
@@ChinaCycling OK cheers Joe, I'll check out PP and look at a build up. Potentially will aim for a Gravel build first :-)
Yay! A video not about another camera 🎉
A stem I saw on Amazon had the brand name Suking😅
that's great, too bad it says BIGROCK on it...what is the thought process there?
The real crime is the combover.
Biggest issue is the brand
No problems for me buying from Aliexpress for over 6 years.
Aliexpress has gone down for current frame geometry and designs sadly. The wheels are still.ok on Ali but hard to find the sub 1kg climbing wheels
4:20 looks like the BB shell needs facing.
Nope... It's "keyed" in the carbon, so even if the epoxy were to fail, there's a mechanical interface between the metal and carbon.
Super nice!
You need shorter cranks ma bladclart bredda
Already 165, waiting for the industry to make 145s 😔
i live in china but i use panda podium to see what has passed the QC lol
they need to make larger sizes

I’d entertain the idea if they had a better name.
hubs must be japanese
Sohtea is literally Aethos backwards....😑
Oh my 😂
Nice Frame! But that name doesn't work.
wheel depth?
I'm sorry but I can't take seriously a bike brand called BIGROCK...
Progressive geo+short stem for road bikes is the way to go to issue toe overlap. Fork offset also helps. And the handling would be as good with some thoughts. Spending thousands and risking to go on the floor with toe overlap is just so disrespectful for the end user.
6 months then.
how can they call themselves bigrock with the biggest size being 59? not big enough sadly
The SLC 2.0 was better
In rim brake 👌
Cool bike, although there is nothing traditional in fully integrated cables ;)
That's true!
I am actually against light bikes. Somewhat have a feeling that they are not meant to last. Even regular bikes happen to crack and damaged by regular use, lack of material got me thinking.
Looks like weight is the same as Winspace SLC - definitely heavier than 585-gram Aethos frameset.
Anyone got balls big enough to buy one of these?
Please help the Chinese company’s with their terrible naming schemes just as much as you help the with QC and customer service
No logo, just bare minimum paint for uv protection would be lighter still. Why go for weight then add a bunch of paint and a logo nobody in the west wants?
