so, theres a main scene (group scene). I think its when someone has an idea of where to take a character, they go there. If theres more to be discovered, they can hop into a different one. when a scene ends and they dont want to go into a further scene, they hop back to the first group scene.
yeah pretty much. In earlier improv there are more formal "edits" -- people will run across the stage or tap their partners to indicate various things, but this group is very experienced so they can tell what's going on based on the context and body language (notice how they often change their stage position when they want to start a new scene, for example)
