My mother suffered from mental illness. She never once said,” I love you.” This beautiful woman has warmed my heart by being a loving wife, mom, daughter and sister to her family. Every thoughtful detail said,” I love you!”to her family I enjoyed every minute of this lovely family celebration. Thank you for sharing
I can’t get enough of this. Intentional living, loving and caring for people is what life is about. I have done a deep dive on our hostess and just keep growing in respect and am thankful for the inspiration she has provided for my own home and family. Soli deo gloria.
Ruth's home has always been my favorite tour on Homeworthy. You can feel the Spirit in her meaningful and intentional living. So when this epsisode popped up in my feed, I was overjoyed to feel that special Spirit again in her celebration of Easter/Resurrection Day with her family and the beautiful traditions handed down by her mother. This means more to me than any expensively decorated home. Ruth's home and family exude what most of us really want -- . love, joy, peace, faith and caring for family. Wish I were a part of her family!
When my mom died 13 yrs ago in March a family member gave me tulip and daffodil plants. I planted them and thanked her and said every year when they bloom I'll think of my mom and your kindness, especially since they bloom at the time of her passing. And I do! And the daffodils are blooming right now.
Loved this vid, Ruth and her family radiate instant 'feel good' vibes. It's a refreshing reminder amidst the daily US political drama between Trump and Biden we only get to see back here in Europe.... Ruth shows us there's so much more to the US. Have a great Easter! ✨
I love everything about you, your home and love for your family and tradition. But what brings me the most joy is your testimony to your faith in Christ’s resurrection giving us all the hope life renewed.
Another beautiful Homeworthy episode with Ruth McKeany - I love how she weaves stories through baking coffee cakes and arranging tables for Easter. The story of the 100 daffodils made me tear up - what a special gift that blooms every year and reminds us to have hope, even when we deeply miss those we love who have passed on 💛
Ruth makes everyday special. That is her gift. Blessed is her family to have such a mother and wife. All the food looks delicious and was obviously prepared with love. The gorgeous wood riser with the tulips in the rustic urn is simple perfection.
I have realised that ‘coffee’ in the USA is a cake to have with coffee (not cake with coffee in) looks lovely. What a wonderful way to celebrate Easter! 🇬🇧 🇬🇧
Ruth, I absolutely love your book and have already baked the apple pie with your very english pie crust. My family loves your cornbread recipe. I am working my way through your warm and loving book. I sit with it every day to Glean all your stories, recipes, and most importantly, Jesus that resides in your home. As your uncle challenged you all those many years ago. Love people well. Through your book and videos, you have loved me well. Thank you❤
This was such a beautiful episode. One of my favorites so far. Ruth with her family. Ruth and her brother has great chemistry on camera. Ruth and even her brother or them 2 together would make a great show. Feel good wholesome entertainment. God bless and protect them all in Jesus Christ name, Amen.
So many folks have little or no family and are alone with few resources……makes this difficult to watch….hope they have a great holiday…..Happy Easter everyone!
Yes, so true. I was just thinking the same myself. I have nowhere near the large family or the large property she has but I still know that I have many more blessings than others. But even if I were completely alone I don’t think of it as hard to watch. I rather watch beauty and happiness than only think of sadness but still, I understand your point. Just thinking of your words makes me want to reach out and visit those with less family etc.
You make the best videos and always inspire me with your togetherness and love for home and family. Love the daffodils, and the hunt at Easter. A wonderful way to keep your momma's memory alive in these children's hearts. God bless you for praying too. Thanks for a great time!
Love when I watch you it is like a relaxed Martha Stewart! Your joy shines through and it makes me feel like I don’t have to be concerned about perfection. Just enjoy the process. Thank you!
I’m loving Ruth McKeaney. She makes entertaining for her family look so easy. Inspires me to think about hosting Easter this year for my big family in my little house. ❤
Such an uplifting moment when I get to watch Ruth with her family! So beautiful and her heart is even more beautiful! ❤️ Happy Easter to you and your family!
I enjoyed it once again. I also have 5 children and was watching for the grandchildren as I thought her husband said they have grandchildren. We have 13 now and will also have a big meal on Sunday after church. Then after dinner the grands dye Easter eggs and we hide candy in the yard and the little ones run around finding candy for their baskets. Traditions we’ve always done with our kids. Blessings everyone.
Hi Ruth. Do you know what I most love about watching your content? It's the fact that everything you do comes from a place of authenticity and purpose. And that your purpose is divinely focused and your footsteps are divinely ordered. The fact that you were divinely led to and challenged to bravely "write the book" despite all the reasons you came up with to not do so. And the lesson, the anchor moment meant for just you was: get out of the way, listen, let Him lead, then watch Him work! Vision beyond your resources is the lead in to how one divinely enlarges their territory. This lesson will stick with me. He gets all the glory through our obedience and through trusting Him. I hope I can do this. I don't have your book yet, but I'm going to get it. Thanks for being a blessing.
Yipeeee! It’s Ruth! 🥰🏡🐇🌼 The egg shell trick is absolutely true, I’ve always done the same thing! I haven’t had chickens for two years and I miss the beautiful yummy eggs!
So happy to see Ruth again. She has such a warmth to her and has created a truly soulful home & life with a big.heart for family. And that is the most beautiful barn I have ever seen.
We have a similar tradition but it takes place every summer. Our extended family gather the same week each summer at a beach in South Carolina…and my cousin and her husband plan the scavenger hunt each year…and same, the riddles are challenging! We also have a Fun Run on the beach organized by my brother and traditional games like egg toss etc. on the beach organized by another cousin. The whole family looks forward to the week together and all the fun we have. It’s tradition 😊
I enjoyed the wedding planning video that came out today so much that I started looking for Ruth McKeaney on Homeworthy and found this. This woman is a positive spirit. I have to get the cookbook.
I always enjoy when you have Ruth on Homeworthy. Ruth has a beautiful home and family. Ruth is so down to earth and gives such great tips and tricks. Happy Easter to a beautiful family.
what a beautiful episode.. Love when Ruth is featured. I am so inspired for Easter and definitely making the coffee cake . I purchased your lovely book , Thoroughly enjoying it .Ruth i love the signet rings u and the girls wear .. r they custom made? Your family is beyond blessed and u can feel the love .. thank you for sharing. Happy easter 🐣
This is my favorite house that Homeworthy has ever done a tour of!! Ruth is a fantastic hostess. TIP: Try steaming the fresh eggs next time. Big pot of salty boiling water, drop a metal colander in that’s loaded with eggs. Make sure the water doesn’t touch the eggs, steam with lid on for about 10-12 minutes depending on quantity and they should peel up like a dream once done & cooled! Also try putting egg cups at each place setting to hold the eggs once everybody has sat down and unwrapped their napkins. In addition, consider maybe serving some cowboy home fries done in a cast iron skillet if you have time. They are usually a big hit, especially with the men folk! Everything looked beautiful. I enjoyed hearing about your family’s tradition. The hunt sounds like so much fun! Best wishes to all of you - enjoy the coming warmer weather and don’t forget to take a lazy nap in the sun when you get a chance! STAY BLESSED TIP #2: If you choose to hard boiled your eggs in water, keep the water afterwards and once throughly cooled, use it to water your house plants. The minerals from the egg shells that leach out into the water will give your house plants a little extra boost now and again (not every time) to help them stay healthy and nourish.
I agree with other comments. You are the very BEST to watch in our country. Your home is so gorgeous........I love the videos and am anxious to purchase your book... Happy Easter Ruth.
For anyone interested you absolutely can hard boil fresh from the coop eggs and peel them with ease. The secret is to steam rather than boil them. I put enough water in a pot to come almost to the bottom of a colander or steamer basket, put in the clean eggs cover with a lid and bring to a boil. I steam for 15-18 mins or so. Remove from the heat and run cold water over them for a few minutes, empty the water from the pot, cover again and shake the pan to crack the shells and they will slip right off just as cleanly as you please. After peeling I leave them in very cold water until they feel chilled and now they're ready to use to make egg salad, deviled eggs or just store in the fridge until needed. Everyone I've shared this method with gets back to me amazed how well this works and why didn't they know about it before? :-)
What a lovely lady Ruth is, and she has a beautiful family. Everyone gets involved. The treasure hunt looks like amazing fun. The chicken coop is amazing for the chicken ladies. 🐔😍🥚 I love the barn and all table decor, with lovely tulips. Omg and the food looks delicious. Thank you for sharing Ruth, Happy Easter to you and your family. 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
Thank you Ruth for bringing such love& happiness to our lives. We have lost our way a bit in this world now. I so love watching your videos. God bless you& all your family& friends. Hope you had a lovely Easter ❤️🙏
Here’s a tip on boiling fresh eggs, bring the water to a gentle boil. Slowly lower egg into water with a spoon. Cover, turn off heat and let stand 12 to 15 minutes then take out each egg and place it in a bowl with lots of ice cubes and water, let sit about ten minutes and peel immediately. Works for me😀
Ohhh she’s back! I adore her! I bought her book when I watched the last episode with her. Amazing humans. Thank you for sharing. ❤ She needs a YT channel 🙏
My Mom made a similar version of this coffee cake-but she added thinly sliced apples after the first layer of brown sugar crumble and on top. Delicious!!!
This cake was hugely popular in the late 1960’s. It was called “sour cream coffee cake” and the recipe is the same. I loved it & am inspired to dig out my recipe and make it for Easter Sunday. Happy Easter!
Happy Easter Ruth, Bob and family. My mother also created a tradition at Easter, "the Hunt" that I have carried on now with my grandchildren, and expanded. Memories, they are so very special!
How wonderful is the Lord's resurrection and what a lovely way to celebrate it. Thank you for sharing and may God's grace and peace shower you.
Amen 🙏
I wish you would have Ruth on weekly! She is so uplifting and inspiring!

Agree!
I totally agree, one of my very favorites!!

So true. 💚
I can’t get enough of this. Intentional living, loving and caring for people is what life is about. I have done a deep dive on our hostess and just keep growing in respect and am thankful for the inspiration she has provided for my own home and family. Soli deo gloria.
Remember, Martha Stewart back in 1984 started it all-- she was the ORIGINAL and BEST in those early videos.
❤
@@larrywakeman4371……she’s still the queen.
Yes… Ruth is so genuine.. no pretense. Lovely. Incredible home and family..
I so agree! I can’t enough! So beautiful and so calm
I am obsessed with this woman’s style. She is so classy and graceful! ✨✨✨ Can’t wait to see more from her.

Exactly!
I would also like to be part of her family, she should adopt me 😅😂
Ruth Mckeaney needs her own show on the Homeworthy channel . I can watch her every day . 😍
Can I tell you how much I love that you hand mix and aren’t too precious about the measurements? Such a relief. My kind of baking.
Was it a coffee cake? Or called that because you have it with your coffee?
When my mom died 13 yrs ago in March a family member gave me tulip and daffodil plants. I planted them and thanked her and said every year when they bloom I'll think of my mom and your kindness, especially since they bloom at the time of her passing. And I do! The daffodil story brought a tear to my eye.
Let just say.. Ruth needs her own show!!! Perfection.. without pretense!!!! Warm, inviting.. beautiful family… just a joy to watch!!!!

I have realised that ‘coffee’ in the USA is a cake to have with coffee (not cake with coffee in) looks lovely. What a wonderful way to celebrate Easter! 🇬🇧 🇬🇧
I love the confidence of being in the kitchen wearing a white shirt 😊
She is a sharp dresser.
And no apron!! I always need to wear an apron but I’m a messy baker and cook, no matter how hard I try not to be 😂.

That was amazing and so inspiring how she took tulips and put them in a vase, beautiful
Love quiche but have never thought of adding sour cream.
I love that all the cobwebs etc were in place. I raise chickens and I keep it tidy but it shouldn’t look like a movie set. Love the real.
Ruth is amazing and so natural. I hope we can visit for more special occasions.
So many folks have little or no family and are alone with few resources……makes this difficult to watch….hope they have a great holiday…..Happy Easter everyone!
