This is the most beautiful boat / tiny home I've seen, out of handreds. So much talent, work & soul is put into it.... May you have happy travels & joy living in it!
Beautiful in many aspects. Too much gray for me, but im sure that can be changed per order/owner. Looks very peaceful and inviting. We don't have these here in the US, which is a shame. It would be wonderful to have a residential area of nothing but these taking up so little space.
Stunning! Love the neutral palate with the grays and whites. Very clean looking for the lines and finish. Great craftsmanship showing there, and the dramatic music frames it all so well.
I’ve had the pleasure of watching this entire set of videos over the last couple of days! What an excellent build well done. Would love to see an update video for sure
DRAMATIC! - Yes, the vlog ..... the music too ..... the visuals ..... but most of all, this floating, mobile palace which YOU have made to be your home. Total congratulations on design, execution and your patience over many months. Thank you for sharing - may God bless you and grant that you both have every happiness in your journeyings.
This is by far the nicest and my personal favorite of the dozens upon dozens of similar boats(narrowboats) that I have seen. Clean, simple, classy, practical, and liveable. Bravo
Looking at your boat makes me work harder for myself and build something like that. There’s no one thing bad I can say about it except for the price 😂 this boat looks amazing from every angle 📐
How much was it ? Baring in mind he did a lot of the work . I would like him to work with me on my dream boat. Perhaps you know someone who has the same degree of care, detailing etc ?
I have seen some beautiful boat builds on RUclips but this is something else it makes me wish my wife and I had not got such health issues and were younger I could buy this in a heartbeat beat and think I had gone to heaven , really envy you but wish you all the best wishes, you must be so proud.
If I lived in England and wanted a wide beam boat this would be the one. Exquisite interior and so roomy. Need a press gang to come get me from the U.S.
@@northernbuoy1 it’s stunning and the attention to detail is first class! One of these days I’ll have a boat like this, just like this, in fact this one would be perfect lol 😉😂😂
THIS IS THE MOST MAZING NARROW BOAT. I would say i could live on this but the canal network is not friendly to widebeams and i think that problem should be fixed so all the networks can be reached and have a few canals to travel on.
Brilliant work and very inspiring, may I ask where did you buy the cupboards, and couch from please, and what did you use for kitchen flooring, also does this hob pass the boat safety certification, thank you for all the tips, we are in the process and will use loads of your tips mentioned on previous videos
You have done a wonderful job. You have given a lot of thought to it. I am looking for a boat builder to help me build my dream boat,, can you recommend anyone who has the same attention to detail as you do? Thank you 2:48
I wonder if putting the kitchen in the middle of the boat and the saloon at the back would stop it leaning backwards ?, I do see a lot of boats on the canal that seem ready for take off.
Fabolous, better than a commercially built wide beam. Must be an expensive boat . Will you keep it for yourself. If you ever want to sell it message me.
I do apologise. I have previously answered it in another comment. I have just had a valuation completed by a marine surveyor who has valued it at £175-179,000.
I was impressed by Northern Buoy but this eclipses that. I'm learning so much from your vlogs thanks. 57' - because...? That allows access to any lock in the UK I'm guessing. And 10'6" opens up more of the wider canal channels than the very widebeamer presumably? Thanks for the info. PS I'm guessing you're from Thornaby or thereabouts. Hence Northern Buoy?
Keep Living the Dream, Stunning job, can you tell us how much are living cost i.e berthing fee's for the size of boat, rubbish collections, mail deliveries, running cost for Diesel, insurance etc etc
Windows are small because when you are out on the cut people look in a lot. Having portholes reduces that but we still get lots of light from the two roof lights.
@@northernbuoy1 OK It just seems like you have these great views and all this real estate you can use for window, but you use these tiny porthole Guess that's what personal preference and customization is about. Love the canals and the narrowboats Thanks for writing
Well the first boat arrived with ballast, floor, battened and foamed where as this one was just a bare metal shell. Then wheelhouse, tiled floors, underfloor heating, etc etc all extra work but glad to see you have been paying attention.
@@northernbuoy1 ...... You can't leave us hanging........ What was the appraisal. I'm going for £170,000? I understand the reluctance to talk money, but, for those of us inspired by people like you, knowing what can be achieved for what type of money ( and sweat equity of course ) is an important piece of information. Do we pay for a ready made boat? Or is it much cheaper to go your route and buy a sailaway and fit it out like you...... The price differential is the key element in that calculation. Of course no one expects you to open up your finances, but ballpark numbers would really help
The boat has just been professionally valued by a marine surveyor at £175-179k so your guess was very accurate and I will say that you will save 30 to 40% by doing it yourself but doing it full time takes a year and if you are going to do it part time then it could take 2 or 3 years.
Probably the nicest boat I have ever seen, absolutely beautiful interior design and colour scheme.

This boat is the most spectacular wideboat I've seen. Well done!
Accomplishing this in 2,000 man hours is impressive in and of itself. This would take me at least twice that. Nice work.
CONGRATULATIONS ! WHAT A AMAZING JOB , GREAT MODERN COLORS , GREAT JOB !!!!
This is the finest interior I’ve ever seen in a narrow boat
It isn't a narrow boat it's a wide beam!.
This is by far the nicest and my personal favorite of the dozens upon dozens of similar boats(narrowboats) that I have seen. Clean, simple, classy, practical, and liveable. Bravo
Thanks for the kind words. If I spent 2000 hours building it, I spent another 4000 hours planning and designing it.

The job you did is so good I've watch it a few time's now. Fantastic 👏
Gorgeous design and construction. This must have cost a pretty penny to put together.
Really like the finishes and colours that you have used. Boats currently in build this has provided some inspiration on.

Just about the best boat I’ve ever seen unbelievable 👍
What a stunning wide beam.

Sublime execution and extra props for the "Stay Weird" pillow 👍

Wow, that's a lovely boat/home!!!
Well worth the sweat and tears. Beautiful.
Oh my that is the most beautiful boat.
That how a modern canal boat should look and bsdce fitted out .
Then set of on the system to show off, and not be condemned to tied to a bank
Looks like your work paid off.

What a stunning wide beam it's got to be the best ever and I follow alot of boaters but this one just takes my breath away.
Beautiful boat and design my personal choice would have to have a better multi fuel stove though just to complete it for my taste
Well that is 2000 hours and a few quid very well spent...... A very Beautiful job..:-))

Stunning boat! Who is the music by? Hans Zimmer?
This is stunning! I adore the skylight. Is there a way to ensure it doesn't leak though as they notoriously do?
Wow! It's stunning! How much did fitting cost you? Just the interior. Dramatic music goes well with this boat. Who designed the interior?
WOW!

How mutch is it ?
Can I just ask how big this boat is it looks like a 70' 12'? Thanks.
It’s 57ft by 10ft 6 but we utilise very last inch.
Hiii…
Lovely boat!!!
My dream :)
Who is the builder of this boat? Thank you
She’ll was built by HT fabrications in thurmaston. We then fitted it out ourselves.
I bet it’s red hot in there on sunny days
Sometimes but that’s why we have hatches on both sides of boat to get the breeze across the boat.
"Be our guest." Singular - such a pity.
It does pull out into a double so I could make it plural!
Stunning!
But why are the windows so small?
Windows are small because when you are out on the cut people look in a lot. Having portholes reduces that but we still get lots of light from the two roof lights.

what was the thing that popped up from the island in the kitchen? Never seen anything like it..!
Just some electric sockets.
Ta.
whats the price ?
Price of shell??
Does this have a little AC unit in the Master Bedroom? I can't read the name on the unit.
It’s not ac. It just does hot or cold fan.
