Central China Welcomes Year's First Snowfall | Beijing's Snowy Days | English News | N18V
The first snowstorm of the season caused heavy snow to cover much of northeastern China, forcing the closure of schools and suspension of all forms of transportation. The provincial capital of Heilongjiang, northern Harbin, shuttered major highways, cancelled flights, and closed elementary and middle schools.
