@@maxamahnken7325 Louwerse? No. Never. Too much vibrato. Her vibrato is horrible. Honestly, her voice is very weak - André Rieu level. And she is so self-absorbed. See how she loves herself, how she wants to appear as a star. No, sorry, but you cannot compare the two. No, that is an insult to Patricia Janečková. I have to reject this ranking.

The standout performance here is Maestra Janeckova's electrifying, virtuoso rendition of "Let The Bright Seraphim ". Patricia's beautiful singing is fittingly backed by a brassy, Day-of-Judgement style organ. May God rest your soul, Patricia.
My grief is nothing compared to that of her family. I pray for them all.

You could tell how her vocal dexterity improved over her short career. She really had not only the talent but also the drive. Since her death, I have found a few other young coloratura sopranos who certainly have the talent that improves over time. I wonder if one of them is succeeding in some challenge an all-knowing Patricia passed on to them in death. And yet I doubt most of them have seen or heard Patricia.
Those who had seen or heard Patricia will find her a particularly hard act to follow. Patricia was due to have performed at a concert on 6 October 2023 as part of the Lednice-Valtice Music Festival at the Church of St. Jakub Staršího, Lednice. The tickets had already been sold by the date of her death so the organisers decided not to cancel it, but instead to give it as a tribute to Patricia, with the 16-year old soprano Adéla Řehořová taking her place, accompanied by the Boni pueri boys' choir and the Wranitzky Kapelle orchestra. @@peterburdge4138 I have seen it. I searched for other videos of her. She does not have her own RUclips channel yet, but she has an Instagram account that I follow. As much as I always want to hear more from her, I believe she is making the right choice by not singing in public as often as Patricia at the ages of 16 and 17.
@@StuartSimon If, like me, your searches for Patricia’s successors have focused on the Czech Republic, you will no doubt have considered her erstwhile classmate and duet partner Karolína Levková. I like her performance of Schubert’s Shepherd on the Rock - ruclips.net/video/Aly1pbwGlCs/видео.html - one of the many pieces which we will never hear Patricia sing.

I would love to see a future memorial concert for Patricia featuring the 'Dies Irae' from Berlioz's "Requiem" and Sir Edward Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 in D Major ". I think of Maestra Janeckova when I hear these two pieces. @peterburdge4138

Thank you, Michael, for providing this - especially for giving us the chance to enjoy another of Patricia's performances of Laudate Dominum. The balance between instruments and singer is, I think, better than in her 2017 performance - ruclips.net/video/ljvTwbxrylc/видео.html - which until now for me has been the definitive one. It is particularly poignant to see Patricia's joy in singing, which she also displayed in some of her earlier performances, a joy which is now complete as she fulfils the verse displayed beneath her portrait at her funeral: 'I will sing to thee, my God, before the angels' (Psalm 138).
Presumably this concert included a good deal of music for organ alone; is a full recording available anywhere?

Vous avez raison de souligner l’accord exceptionnel entre la violoniste et Patricia. Je trouve d’ailleurs qu’on a pas suffisamment félicité cette excellente interprète .
Cependant, l’extrait que vous citez a une signification spéciale pour moi . C’est en effet la première fois que je croisais en tant que auditeur le chemin de Patricia . Et j’avoue que pour la première fois, j’avais vraiment l’impression d’être devant un ange ! J’ai beaucoup de mal à me consoler de son départ.
J’ai trois petites filles qui avaient le même âge qu’elle …
@@georgesringeisen5365 I understand that Alena Mazgajová-Čechová and Petr Čech played at Patricia's funeral, but I have not been able to find out what music they performed. Their presence suggests that they were particularly close to Patricia.
