More like 20-25 years. The most recent installment, Crossbone Ghost, is set in around UC 0153 AFAIK. The original Crossbone Gundam manga began in UC 0133, and the second CV had been around for five years or less. But yeah, twenty-plus years later and it's still overpowered.
...That one is set THAT far forward? Wow. I didn't know that. Though to be fair, the main chara's mech from what I can find out isn't a Crossbone Gundam. Iif I recall what I read correctly, it was cobbled together from a variety of different sources. It has a vaguely similar general profile, but none of the characteristic design elements of the Crossbones. Whether Crossbone itself will appear in the manga remains to be seen.
MS combat after mobile suit miniaturization pretty much revolves around mobility. The Crossbone units are designed to have full mobility in Jupiter's gravity. When in a 1 G environment, they are difficult to control due to that set up, but if the pilot can do it, they have incredibly high speed as well as a large number of maneuvering thrusters. It also helps the X1 was overhauled and upgraded a few times due to damage (Kai, Kai Kai, Patchwork and Full Cloth) and that the X-0 eventually gets the Full Cloth too. The Victory 2 is probably one of the only suits that is more overpowered since it basically can't even get hit and has nearly 5 times the acceleration of the highest performing suits at the time.
No offense to the mangaka But I just think “childish” styling(big eyes and stuff) doesn’t lend well to a war series like a Gundam I like stuff that leans closer to Thunderbolt than anything like Crossbone
@@elipse371 Even Thunderbolt is too cartoonish for my taste and leans a little bit too much towards some weird webtoon-esque character at times. The manga's is better but I honestly prefer Yasuhiko's character designs.

I don't know why this isn't a thing. Crossbone would be such a good series and there's enough material to make it an epic entry into the gundam metaseries. We can only hope that one day Sunrise will come to their senses.
I love how the animator of the fan opening made all the movements of both the humans and mobile suits so fluid most fan animations for gundam openings ive seen felt stilted and jaring to look at this looks amazing though who ever made this exetreme respect
It's been 4 years since this was made, Bandai has announced an adaptation of Hathaway's Flash in the form of a movie trilogy, and Gundam Narrative, a sequel to Unicorn, has already been released in Japan. We inch ever closer to F91's time frame, and with Crossbone being a direct sequel to F91, I'm pretty sure that a Crossbone adaptation is going to happen. One can dream

I think the biggest reason it hasn't been made, is the design on Jupiter Empire's MS are just too weird for a "Gundam"... kinda like Gundam Age or V-Gundam, but weirder.
Santiago Scarpino well it may be a little odd but a simple narration and showing the events of the CCA book events would be good. Plus even in the movie Quess dies because Hathaway opens her Mobile Armor's cockpit and she didn't have her spacesuit sealed.
They should remake Gundam F91 and include Crossbone Gundam as season 2. Call it something else and have the MS have slightly different designs like in Gundam Wing to Gundam Wing Endless Waltz. As for Story they add new material and use Gundam F91 Cancelled TV script, the novel, and of course Crossbone Manga for the overall adaptions. I know Skull Heart has a bit of stuff that can be used but at that point Crossbone was already becoming something entirely different.
You know instead of turning this into an episode series if they turn this into an OVA series like they did with unicorn Gundam fight more than gladly watch it they could get a lot put in in a few short times
we will get Gundam Unicorn Narrative soon (perhaps a side story or epilogue to the main series?) , after that... the most probable one to be made is Hathaway's Flash as it is just few years away from it (setting wise). then maybe Bandai could just re-animate Gundam F91 (either a remaster of the movie or into a tv series) before making Gundam Crossbone. an ONA episode of Gundam SENTINEL wouldn't be bad either... just one episode is enough I think.

Probably cause the original artwork not related to the design for the characters look like that in the manga and the animator for this short wanted to keep it true to it.

Firstly Grey Stroke/60 years Old Judau Ashta appeared in the series fighting the Zanscare Empire using his battle worn ZZ Gundam which now called Gump due its hideous look and poor peformance. Kincade Nau(Crossbone Gundam X1pilot)real name is Seabook from the Gundam F91movie.He met Tobia(x3 pilot)during a raid and Captain Berah Ronah/Cecily decide to brought him along with the girl(Jupiter Emperor daughter's).Later in the series,after a battle the stolen X2(the black one)caused him to lost one eye and left arm,Seabook use a bionic arm to replace his old one.At the end of the manga,the X3(the blue one)got blew up so Seabook gave the X1 to Tobia.He later disappeared along with Cecily and married her(They both called each other their real name before departing).Seabook was last seen with his family in their house unaware that Tobia came to their house.Tobia was planning to ask for his help because a new crisis begins but gave up when he saw how happy Seabook and Cecily lookstogether with their childrens.20 year lates Tobia/Curt Curthis now married to the Jupiter Princess and have a daughter with them who later both meet the new protagonis who an MS otaku who is hunted down by the Zanscare Empire.
Now why do i think this series doesn't get any adaptation because they try to create many manga first so that they can create a trilogy about how many things that happen inside tobia life. I make this kind of opinion because after crossbone ghost there still crossbone X11 and dust.

IKR! This 40th anniversary was supposed to be big, yet it was a huge letdown. Instead a have to get these lame shows (g record and build divers) over a proper new series. Bandai and Sunrise are actively missing every good opportunity.

the X-3 is the only gundam that can use it's hand to grab against opponent light saber... very cool scene in the manga along with the I-field countdown...

Granted the character design for the character is kind of meh, this is really BADASS!!! Hats off to the original animator.
Probably cause the original artwork not related to the design for the characters look like that in the manga and the animator for this short wanted to keep it true to it.

Don't know some of you guy have figured it already but i m telling anyway.
Firstly Grey Stroke/60 years Old Judau Ashta appeared in the series fighting the Zanscare Empire using his battle worn ZZ Gundam which now called Gump due its hideous look and poor peformance.
Kincade Nau(Crossbone Gundam X1pilot)real name is Seabook from the Gundam F91movie.He met Tobia(x3 pilot)during a raid and Captain Berah Ronah/Cecily decide to brought him along with the girl(Jupiter Emperor daughter's).Later in the series,after a battle the stolen X2(the black one)caused him to lost one eye and left arm,Seabook use a bionic arm to replace his old one.At the end of the manga,the X3(the blue one)got blew up so Seabook gave the X1 to Tobia.He later disappeared along with Cecily and married her(They both called each other their real name before departing).Seabook was last seen with his family in their house unaware that Tobia came to their house.Tobia was planning to ask for his help because a new crisis begins but gave up when he saw how happy Seabook and Cecily lookstogether with their childrens.20 year lates Tobia/Curt Curthis now married to the Jupiter Princess and have a daughter with them who later both meet the new protagonis who an MS otaku who is hunted down by the Zanscare Empire.

Sunrise should make an all Gundam Series Project where they'll make the mangas and novels into animes.
I think this is what they are doing right now with Universal Century.
Now why do i think this series doesn't get any adaptation because they try to create many manga first so that they can create a trilogy about how many things that happen inside tobia life. I make this kind of opinion because after crossbone ghost there still crossbone X11 and dust.

Bandai has choose Gundam Thunderbolt to make in this year, and I think after Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt end, Bandai will make Gundam Crossbone.

IKR! This 40th anniversary was supposed to be big, yet it was a huge letdown. Instead a have to get these lame shows (g record and build divers) over a proper new series. Bandai and Sunrise are actively missing every good opportunity.
