We performed the traditional Jewish wedding dance "The Horah" (set to the tune "Hava Nagila") - here are the highlights of the dance, watch out for the chairs about one minute in!
Down for the Count is available for your wedding, Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah anywhere in the world. The Down for the Count Swing & Soul Band play an exciting range of music from the swing, soul and Motown eras. They are guaranteed to get the guests up and dancing!

Looked this up from Ghost and Molly Mcgee of all things. While it does look like a fun tradition, count me out, I don't have this much confidence in my relative's ability hold the chair steady!
trust me, from what i've seen a lot of the time lifters are appointed, though i've certainly seen times where it's more spontaneous! you go with what you're comfortable with! if you ever get the chance to go to a jewish wedding or take a class on it, it's totally worth it! also, neat that you saw this through tgamm, i love that show myself!
