About 10 years ago this woman at my work came to my desk in secret with 5 $100 target gift cards, and said she needed to redeem them to “Agent Walker from the FBI” or get arrested within hours. I refused, told her it’s a scam and she was terrified for weeks that she would be taken away in cuffs in front of her kids.. for no charges. Thanks for turning the tables.

I overheard an older woman talking to a scammer in her car at a Walmart parking lot. I recognized the typical gift card scammer conversation because of channels like this and advised the lady to go home because it was a scam and to look for RUclips videos like this. I hope she is ok.

He will sit there and say “okay, you KNOW the reason this account has higher interest is because it’s locked in for 3 years, right? You KNOW there’s a penalty for removing the money early, right? Then they’re back in a month wondering why the money is locked in.

From years of watching scambait videos, I've found the most charming attribute of the Nigerian scammers is that they'll lose their minds and scream obscenities at the baiter for hours but never ever suspect that the "victim" is playing them. It simply cannot enter their minds that someone could be outsmarting them.

It’s sad how bad people don’t understand their own finances. My nephew is a financial advisor. He will sit there and say “okay, you KNOW the reason this account has higher interest is because it’s locked in for 3 years, right? You KNOW there’s a penalty for removing the money early, right?
