I just upgraded my basic radio to a 8.4 Uconnect unit. Is the install shown here the same for the newer unit , all plug ins and connections . Also Will I require a programmer for this project as the cheat sheet suggests it is not required on models prior to 2018. I have a 2016 1500.
If you are trying to add camera to the vehicle for the first time it will need a programmer. I have a similar kit and once i plugged everything up and inserted the obd programmer now all i get is a blue unavailable screen when i put it in reverse. Is this a power or video issue?

No unfortunately this kit is designed for 2013-2018 Ram vehicles. We do not have a camera set up that is compatible with the 2010 Ram 3500. Sorry about that!

What do u do if we don’t have a cigarette lighter. Mine is a fixed center console. How do I run power?
You should be able to use the 12V accessory connection for power if you don't have a cigarette lighter.
