YOOO that airport set at 10:56 was my CHILDHOOD! I loved playing with that one so much, alongside the Racers 8672 Ferrari Finish Line set, Indiana Jones Temple Escape, the SpongeBob sets, the City Corner bus, and 7785 Arkham Asylum! The Rhode Island State House in Providence was designed by McKim, Mead & White, who also worked on the original NY Penn Station, James A. Farley Building, Garden City campus of Adelphi, and Columbia's main campus! It features the fourth largest self-supported marble dome in the world. The Rhode Island State House is constructed of 327,000 cubic feet of white Georgia marble, 15 million bricks, and 1,309 short tons (1,169 long tons) of iron floor beams. The dome is topped by a gold-covered bronze statue known as The Independent Man, designed by George Brewster and installed in 1899. George Brewster also designed the exterior of the St. Louis Art Museum and Indianapolis's Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument. Wireframe, foam, clay, paint, and a whole lot more materials were used to make this massive dragon not only exist, but also stand up to the elements, including its own fire breath. Though everyone stares at the dragon’s head awaiting its fire blasts, its body is no less important, draping across the top of Gringotts Bank in Diagon Alley. The process for making its massive wingspan down to its talons and tail was an elaborate one. Once complete, the dragon was carefully craned and lowered into place, piece by piece. The dragon is an Ukrainian Ironbelly! Usually the dragon breathes fire every ten minutes, but it doesn't always seem to stick to a consistent schedule, and this is because the dragon is "polite", as in because the dragon breathes fire in a fairly narrow space, the park needs to be careful the wind doesn't catch and shift the fire someplace the parks wouldn't want it. I live in Mass and love Boston Brick Co. I was just there on Sunday and I actually bought that Blimp set from Lego Adventures. It's always been one of my Holy Grail sets to own. The owner of the store is always awesome to talk with and he gave me a great deal on a handful of sets. So cool to see you visit New England and go to one of the best Lego stores on the East Coast.
The worst part about Lego stores are the giant Lego piles people play with, it literally sounds like someone is beating the hell out of a shopping cart with another shopping cart 😂
