The grilled chicken you are eating today is the chicken that locals raise on small farms. Chickens like this take a long time to grow. This type of chicken has yellow skin, less fat, less meat, thick skin, and has more nutritional value than chickens from large farms. And this kind of chicken is more expensive than normal chicken from big farms.
Will it be delicious or not? It depends on your taste which one you like.
And the Jaew sauce should be dipped a little. It has a very strong flavor. Have fun at the Rocket Festival.

Hello Danny & Diggy! I'm watching from Lamphun. I was born in the noth and I haven't been there to participate in the welknown Rocket Festival in Esaan yet. You may be the first vlockers to film the festival of this year. It's really nice and I really enjoy watching it and so glad seeing you're having a great time there. You're right in saying that our Thai people know how make good party. There a lot of seasonal festivals, actually almost in every month. So have the happiest time in Esaan.
Very pleased you made it to the REAL Thailand (away from the overcrowded tourist spots). I hope this is the start of many more adventures in Issan !

Wow, that's a great start with a flat tyre, Lucky repair shop was so close. Oh, gosh, repair was cheap. Food looked amazing indeed 👍. Diggy loves her food. Bike ride looked a bit gruelling but was worth it. Liked the old cameras on the hotel reception wall. Hotel room nice indeed. People at the parade look so happy and friendly. Danny & Diggy are like magnets. People seem to be drawn to them as they are very good-natured and interested in thai culture and their ways of life. Super friendly place towards Westerners. Be interested to see why they have the festival and the rockets. Great vlog guys look forward to your next adventure that continues this journey. 👍🩷👍🥰🎉
The rocket is launched as a signal to tell the angels in the sky that the rainy season has arrived. It is asking for a lot of rain. The northeastern region was previously the driest area in the country. Thailand is an agricultural country and therefore has many traditions and rituals related to agriculture and nature. Last week there was a royal ceremony to mark the beginning of the planting season. The king will preside over the use of buffaloes to plow the fields. and giving good quality rice varieties from the Royal Project to the people for cultivation.😊

You two need to explore other cities in Isaan. I have live in rural Isaan and still exploring the different provinces. Beautiful temples, ancient Khmer ruins, waterfalls, and natural beauty. Your next Isaan adventure should be to the historical part of Nakhon Phanom city along the Mekong River.

เมืองนี้มีขาวตะวันตกมามีครอบครัว พอได้เห็นบ้างครับ ทั้งยังหนุ่ม และมีอายุ ถ้าเป็นชุมชนขาวตะวันตกเกือบเหมาหมู่บ้านเขิญไปที่ อำเภอนิคมคำสร้อย จังหวัดมุกดาหาร จากยโสธรขึ้นเหนือใกล้ชายแดน ไทย-ลาว ( สะหวันนะเขค ) ระยะทางประมาณ 80+ กม. กลายเป็น WESTERN TOWN ไปแล้ว 555..
Youve both made me feel very homesick. My village is an hour from Ubon. And we shop in ubon alot when we go home. The rocket festival is amazing to experience, if a little dangerous lol

The northeastern region of Thailand is relatively the driest area. These days are much better than before because there are many royal projects of the King to help the people. As you probably know Thailand is an agricultural country. We rely heavily on nature because of agriculture. Therefore there are many traditions related to nature and agriculture. Bun Bang Fai Festival or Rocket Festival involves releasing rockets into the sky to signal the angels to ask for rain. The Northeastern region is an area that faces frequent and long periods of drought. The King therefore has an artificial rain project to help farmers when it is already very dry. Some areas in Thailand may already be experiencing dryness. In some areas there was so much rain that flooding occurred. resulting in the King's Royal Project named Monkey Cheek Project In order to collect water from excess rain and store it for later use when the dry season enters.😊🇹🇭

The worst drivers in Isaan are in Ubon Ratchathani. Glad you’re alive. I think Roiet airport would have been closer. btw Roiet city has one of the best city parks in Thailand ( and a well managed city). Yes, there are newly built hotels in Isaan cities. It’s no longer in the Boonies. The problem with many Bun Bang Fai festivals in the villages and cities is knowing the exact time events start. You’ll get a different time from each person. Glad you enjoyed Yasothon.

See the biggest elephant show in the world Sri Narong Stadium and Elephant Show Stadium, Mueang District, Surin Province which is considered a highlight of the event Elephant show The elephant show will be held for 2 days on Saturday and Sunday in November of every year.
