fair, limited spanish language knowledge made me forget that its Italian. But also im my defense i just looked it up and it means the same thing in both languages.
Black Mill is such a wonderful studio. I have enjoyed all 3 titles in the World War 1 game series. Their dedication to accuracy is unmatched. If you like isonzo, give Tannenberg and Verdun a go.
@@MoonrocksNiiXo You don't need a VPN to play on other countries servers, but unfortunately their matches are often mostly full of bots too. I used to play in full matches on Isonzo from time to time, but unfortunately Verdun and Tannenberg are pretty dead in other countries too. And you are right about the ping, it can be a nightmare at times playing on other countries servers. 😂
I've bought the three WW1 games these guys made. Currently playing the first one- Verdun- until I get tired of it and move onto Tannerberg and then finally this one. It's been fun, lot of unique and deep mechanics, as well as a lot of fun with bots filling up the empty spots on the servers. It's a comfort game.
@@griffintietje5483 25ish players in a single 64 player server at all times. So while it's rare to get a full match, the bots are just as satisfying to shoot. I say get it on sale. But that's NA, not sure how EU is.
@@griffintietje5483 Yeah, the population peaks sometimes, but I felt it was well worth the money. It's the most unique shooter I've played and there's no MTX, battlepass, live service BS, just a good game.
Isonzo is really fun I started playing back in November of last year. It’s sad that on console the only time it’s populated is at night. There are only really 2 servers available but yeah when you go get in it’s so fun
This game is super underrated. I think I have the world record longest headshot in Isonzo, but not enough people make content for it so it's tough to tell!
This game could use some more love and attention from the bigger fps youtubers. I think it would be realy cool to watch jackfrags lvl and westy or stodeh play together. This game has some awesome maps man!
Just recently came back to your channel. I remember watching your channel every single weekend since I was in sixth grade. Your channel really opened up the experience of battlefield and from there I haven’t stopped playing battlefield since from Bad Company to still BF4 much love bro ❤🔥💯💯
@@andy00grant that's fair. It can be a difficult game to get used to. Most weapons are one shot kills so its one of those games where positioning and cover really matters. I recommend trying out a normal game mode first (not ascent as your first game). During the normal mode, one team is attacking and the other team is defending. The attacking team has to capture or destroy an objective (depending on objective type) and along the way can sabotage the defender spawn outposts and build friendly ones so you and your team can move up. Once the two objectives are taken then the attackers move onto the next segment of the map and defenders have to fall back and defend their new objectives. The attackers win if they take the objectives on the final segment. The defenders win if they manage to reduce the attacking reinforcement waves to 0. Weapon unlocks occur through leveling up the classes and completing specific challenges (e.g. get 5 grenade kills, spot 10 enemies with binoculars, etc).
The faces on this particular mountain (in Italy) do have some Spanish names. But that's irrelevant because Punta Ombretta is Italian anyway. Punta means the same in Italian. Lookup Punta Ombretta. It shows this mountain in the Dolomites. And battles did take place there.
It's interesting. Not good, but interesting. I wanna see a better version of it, though. One where you feel more like Magnus Midtbø. I dislike game movement systems that make you feel less agile than real humans.
do u just copy jackfrags or do you guys work on a similar content schedules? ive noticed for years that one will follow the other while almost never sharing commentary or being in each others squads
I admit I was half paying attention to the video until Level said my name (Derek), then I was secretly rooting for my name buddy (didn't turn out well) lol
Looks interesting. Vertical maps like this would definitely help add some diversity into modern fps maps.
The map design is great across the board. The cave fights between cliffs make for the wildest pushes.
Gamers: We want verticality in the game.
Developers: Yes
This is so creative. I can’t even imagine a triple a title creating an experience like this map
What a joke... Mentioning Triple titles XD
I can’t even imagine doing this irl it seems js impossible
they do

levelcap: playing a game about the italian ww1 front

Italian and spanish aint that different you know...
ik

He's technically not wrong lol
Isonzo's a great game! I have almost 150 hours in it, definitely recommend it. Mountaineer class is the best!
They need to make this game F2P at this point.
It barely has any players

I have played them all, I prefer Tannenberg and Verdun more though. Unfortunately I only play vs bots because no one is ever online where I come from.
@@smokeyb71 cant you play via VPN? Ping would be a hell but I see a lot high ping players and they may have the same problem you have.

a bit underwelming but im happy this part of ww1 mountain warfare gets represented in a game
The music is absolutely goated in this game
Heck yeah this looked awesome thanks for the vid levelcap, much love!
This game is super underrated. I think I have the world record longest headshot in Isonzo, but not enough people make content for it so it's tough to tell!
The sound and visuals in this game are TOP shelf
Really enjoyed this game as well as Tanenberg and Verdun, it's just too bad there's like 40 people playing each game at any given time :(

Jack did make a video
Definitely some of my favorite maps of a shooter!
Its on sale right now for 10$, played a bit Verdun and the engine is a bit too slugish for me but they try real hard to make it better
Flavour of the week jack frags been there now level...great game needs all the love it can get
Shluld have pistols/knifes for when you climb up, instead of trying to hip fire your bolty
Remember the pick is also a weapon
A modern shooter that actually respects the advantage of elevation. No jetpacks, no Overwatch style grappling hook. GOTY Right her boys.
IDK they have mountain climbing gear/s the mountain climbing is very unique in gameplay and intense
It does seem like it could be fun for a couple rounds, but once the novelty runs out...
I known it’s just an LTM, but there seems to be more innovation within the indie game industry than AAA.
FPS players: these maps have no verticality!
*Isonzo's new mode comes out*
FPS players: this is some serious gourmet shit
Interesting concept, I can't imagine this is fun at all though. Spawn, climb for 15 seconds, get shot by someone you can't fight back against.

This is like if Donkey Kong Classic and Battlefield had a baby
EDIT : Posted before LevelCap mentioned DK
Imagine if bf1 had a map like this during its life 😅🤣
Dereks about to uninstall this game 😂
Is it me or this just look like BFv
I thought it was for a minute, looks hella like that one map
It looks exactly like it
Me to
It's not Fjell... That map is in Norway. This is the Italian Alps. More verticality in this region, even without this game mode.
bf1 you mean?
i'd buy this game if the dev didn't have a history of abandoning their previous games (verdun, tannenberg)
the funny part is that does aren't ww1 reloads, you're using a gun that was over 40 years old by ww1
Why is this so fucking cool?
Rock toss simulator
My neck hurts
You can barely vault over something shin height first try in Battlefield, let alone climb 😂
that first minute seems like a good game trailer
I've played it and I did enjoy the game. I wish it had a higher player count. Sometimes I couldn't find a full server.
Derek and boii fan 😂
RIP derek
😱😱😱Battlefield will be dead if it doesn’t have mountain climbing and rock throwing features😱😱😱
no one looks up in games they say
I just bought this thinking it was going to have a singleplayer but it doesnt appear too. Only 3 servers aswell none of which were full.
Which region do you play, i play on EU servers during peak time and there are always a lot of populated servers
@blapblappigan8595 I'm the same. I literally just downloaded it and played one game and had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
