- Earlier this year, UK DJ and producer Sam Smith - better known as Ploy - invited Future Music down to his South London studio to open up his DAW and show us how he twisted a Bollywood sample into the hook for Dark Lavis, the B-side to his Rayhana E.P, on his own Deaf Test label.

brilliant producer. his hessle record is still a standout for me
Thats a really old version of Soundtoys 😁
Wish Apple would bring out a proper light mode that looks like Logic Pro 9 for the current version!
Does Logic 9 even run on recent versions of MacOS?
Old video probably
no it doesn’t, he’s just never updated the OS on that old macbook by the look of it
Tune is vibes.
i'm not quite sure what he means with compression in order to keep it out of the red, which means to prevent it from clipping. But why not use just use the gain to keep it at an average level around -12 or -6? Is he referring to the master bus or the individual channels?
choli ke peeche kya hai choli peeche
Thanks
Ploy Keane
Why is it underground
Lol look prime acoustic space
Logic 9 type beat
if he making good money from music he should really think about geting a decent pair of monitors
as the one he has are rubbish for dance music how many people agree ?
I can't remember his name but I remember reading an interview with a producer who worked with Madonna and other big names in the 90s in which he said he mixes using a single, mono 2-inch speaker because if it sounds good on that it will sound good on anything.
Those are focals mate. A solid pair of monitors but also gear doesn’t matter
Just save time and use AI. Musicians will become irrelevant
That'll be Iris, that iZotope just killed not so long ago
