I love how they show this on a California plate.
It's illegal to have any sort of covering at all over your plate in CA. So even before you use that blackout feature, its obvious there is something over your plate and the cops have 100% legal reason to pull your ass over. If they inspect the plate cover further, you are looking at a heavy fine.
That said, its also illegal to not have a front plate in CA... but most cops don't care about this stuff and will likely not pull you over just for these infractions. But why even given them an excuse to in the first place?
