Hey friends: I've been using the iPad Mini 7 since Friday and on a flight to San Francisco! But what do you think? is this the best iPad upgrade in 2024 or too little too late!?
so thankful that this is the first ipad mini that i've seen that ISN'T sponsored by Paperlike... Seriously their advertising on this launch is nauseating and honestly weird how many creators are sponsored
I’m still wavering on getting it, especially with the fact I was expecting much more then they gives us, better camera, better display etc, I wasn’t expecting them to limit charging speed and now some are saying that this still has issues with jelly roll
Can’t wait to upgrade from the mini 6 to 7. When on the go I airplay to my 15 in M3 air from the mini to watch videos and use it as my hotspot with unlimited 3G tethering and as a second monitor, hopefully WiFi 6E will drop latency tremendously on the mini 7. Still getting it in space gray.
I got one; the spec jump and having no FaceID may not been what I wanted, but access to better chip/ram + AI and not mention improved Document Scanning is enough for me. Purchased the 512GB version.
FOUR features away: 3) external display support so it works well with monitors - great when traveling; 4) 1000-nits brightness for those of us using it outdoors.
After waiting eons for a new iPad Mini to be released, I purchased an iPad Pro M4 11" today. I am aware that is quite a leap in function and price. I often use my iPad when I travel and don't need or want to bring my laptop. I use it as an e-reader on the plane and for many other tasks. The battery life of the iPad Mini I traded today was awful. From what I can tell from the out-of-the-gate reviews of the new version, there was no update/upgrade on the battery life for the new version. That was a deal breaker for me. I must say I am sorely disappointed in the tech specs. The iPad Pro just came home today. I love it. It is super thin, very lightweight, and will offer me much larger "pages" for my e-books. I plan on keeping this for a few years, so the much more expensive price is justified. I genuinely hope the battery life in my new IPad Pro is far superior to the Mini!
Has anyone tried to use an Apple pencil 2nd gen with the iPad mini 7? Can we still use Apple pencil 2nd gen to note and do things on the iPad but not charge it, or it doesn't work with this iPad at all? If I understood correctly, the hardware and magnets to charge the pencil on the iPad mini were changed to adapt to the Apple Pencil Pro, so I don't understand if this means that pairing the pencil and writing with it was affected as well. I have my M1 iPad Pro with 2nd gen pencil and I am torn between the mini 6 or 7 because of the pencil. Thank you for any help with this!
Huawei making tri-fold phones and apple over here with 60hz iPads in 2024 with last years chip and 70 inch bezels. This is the world’s biggest company. What a joke of an update.
It's not worth the wait for 3yrs, except the chip these upgrades are the standard 5yrs ago. Until Apple sheeps accepts and stop defending Apple, Apple will still just do the bare minimum and ask for the 2024 price in a 2019 worth of product (except chip, that's still a year old late gen).

No meaningful upgrade over the mini 6. They changed only the chipset
It’s clearly Better.😊I got mine yesterday in the mail.

I hate paperlike 😂

Haha yeah - ok - I hear you ! 😅 although I do quite like my paperlike cover…
Now that you mention, i did see Paperlike in almost every single iPad review 😂
For those of us who have never owned a Mini before, it certainly looks inviting. Probably not for Mini 6 owners.
Yes totally agree :)
Can’t wait to pick mine up after using my 2013 iPad mini retina every day for the last 11 years…..
It’s such a cool form factor! Cheers
End of the day the mini form factor will sell it for those that it appeals to.

I think it’s still an awesome iPad option - It’s not that they limit charging speeds thou right? They just don’t support fast charging on it.

Oh yeah - good call - doc scanning now on this is a great little feature.
This device is two features away from being absolutely perfect: 1) OLED ProMotion and 2) FaceID
Agree! Nailed it.

U probably should add faster charging speed to the list
@@noodleheimerswest8758 #4 would go hand-in-hand with the OLED ProMotion screen. Good point regarding external display support.
@@emanuelesteves2818 I"m actually fine with the charging speeds. Personally, that's never been a dealbreaker for me.
I know two people who are VERY excited about this coming out!
Haha - so happy about it!
That actually looks so practical to carry on with you!
My back is so happy! :)

I think the 11 inch IPad Pro and this are my picks.

The reason why it's the same because it's really the same Mini 6 body duh!!! The inside is only upgraded.
