As a dutchy I can tell you that a lot of artists love to come to Holland and party. Having weed on you for personal use is not an issue. As long as it's below 3 grams. She's very lucky they did not allow her to fly, get caught in the UK and spend 5 years in jail. She just got a fine of 350 euro.

You think weed is legal in Amsterdam? Dutch law still applies. According to the news, she had at least 6x the maximum "tolerated" amount on her. It isn't legal, but there is no punishment for anything under 5 grams (police still might confiscate it). Also, you cannot take it with you on the plane.

Second an arrest is not a negotiation or a pressure tactic. So when a cop in the Netherlands _says_ you are arrested or puts cuffs on, you are arrested. That is final. If he made a mistake doing so, you are still arrested. Some people think they are put under pressure and can give info or stuff then leave but it will never help you. Stay quiet.
