      @@centurytuna100 ang maganda lang sa high megapixel is mas madami info/details na stored = mazozoom in mo yung image if kunyari malayo yung kuha mo. Medjo clear pa din vs low mp camera. Pero, the thing is that yung default mode ng mga phones is 12mp pa din. Yung 108mp is pixel binning lang..pinagtagpi tagpi na 12mp or whatever mp yung ginamit nila sa process.
      Best talaga is if makita yung actual photo para mabusisi ng mabuti yung quality. Extra work sa buyer pero kailangan.

    Agree, lalo sa megapixels. Ang ganda ng image quality (IQ) ay nasa sensor size at processor. Kahit sa dslr/mirrorless cameras, full frame ay superior vs sa crop sensors. Malakas sa memory space ang high MP. Advantage lang ng high MP kapag may need mag heavy on cropping. Kung pang FB at IG (web images) din lang, overkill ang mga 48mp pataas.
    Edit: Malaking factor din pala ang lens construction sa IQ ng isang image.

    The extra features on the camera have been one of my necessities especially with my job. I work as a maintenance personnel on high-speed food processing machines. The 960fps video feature helps me identify the problems of an equipment giving off defective products. Also, pg sumusuong ako sa mga sterilizing equipments (parang mga tangke, madilim sa loob), the night mode or by adjusting the ISO gives me a better look on image what is happening within a clogged equipment which happens to be dark inside. Mas madaling e present sa mga bosses ko and very helpful when asking for a maintenance budget. Another very helpful tool was the macro shot camera lens. Certain parts of a machine have their part numbers engraved in a very small print. Minsan mas nakaklaro ko pa pg pinicturan ko with my macro lens.

    For me, Gorilla Glass is quite important kase when I buy a phone, I hold on to it for at least around 3 years. I have an almost 4-year old phone and di ko na mabilang ilang beses syang nabagsak facedown and malamang sa basag na LCD nito if wala syang protection. Nakakita na rin kase ako ng entry level phones without protection na basag agad ang LCD sa isang bagsakan lang.
    Siguro if you change phones like every year then OK lang if walang protection pero if you plan to use it longer then better if protected sya.

    • @kobayashiharuno
      @kobayashiharuno 2 года назад +7

      i agree. important na feature para sa phone ang merong protection sa screen like gorilla glass. yung Samsung A8 (2015) ko, nagamit ko for almost 3 years. throughout those years of ownership, wala akong case na nilagay. walang tempered glass, screen protector, or kahit anong pandagdag protection sa phone. naka gorilla glass 4 siya. sobrang tibay ng phone na yun na kahit isang basag sa screen, wala. marami lang siyang gasgas sa screen pero hindi siya visible unless tinapat mo sa lighting.
      kaya nung napalitan ko na yung phone na yon for a Redmi Note 10 Pro, kampante ako.

    • @TAKUMI143
      @TAKUMI143 2 года назад +7

      Sorry, but ako disagree po, kasi wla sa gorilla glass or hindi, basta masama ang angle ng pag ka bagsak even not facing down may chance parin na mabasag either gorilla or unnamed type of screen yan... Sa scratches baka mas durable ang G glass pero sa drops, depende tlga yan sa pagka bagsak kung mababasag or hindi...

      @@TAKUMI143 Tama, kaya may different Gorrila Glass version, Gorrila Glass 3 hanggang Victus ang updated. ang pinaka common na glass ngayon ay Gorrilla 4 at 5.
      ang 3 okok lng kaso mababasag din kung hampas lupa sa tiles ng bahay mo. 4 ok lng din kaso basag kung 2nd floor. Yung 5 pinaka popular at Durable na screen. na drop ko saakin sa asphalt road, hampass lupa dahil yung kuhain ko sana, pina doble ko lng ang bilis sa pag hampak sa lupa.
      Gorrila Glass 6, hinde popular kaso parang kaya 2nd floor without case. tapos yung victus, kayang kaya, basta accident lng at hinde intentional.

    I agree with you too. Sometimes, I wish that manufacturers would just create phones without all those gimiks so that 1) they could lower the price OR 2) they can put the funds into perfecting the necessary facets. Like for example, if your main camera isn't great yet in terms of night photography, then why bother putting a senseless 2mp macro cam right? Just go equip your phone with a better sensor or something.

    Kudos sa great vid! comments ko lang haha (5.) Agree that Dolby Atmos will not guarantee surround sound for limited size ng phones, but their influence on both hardware and software aspect of the sound can help na hindi mashadong tunog lata ang audio and better quality compared sa cheaper phones. (4.) Wireless Charging is offered to more expensive phones kasi its use cases are useful but are considered more of luxury or convenience. So hindi naman siya useless gimmick imo. (ex. On your work desk, you just have to place it down the table kung intermittent use ka lang while working, rather than plugging it over&over again. Bed side table na trickle charging while sleeping. Another luxury is for mag safe wireless powerbanks). (3.) Yep, almost no one uses reverse charging. (2) Yep, even 4k 30fps can be a gimmick lang for the low or mid range na phones na hindi naman good ang image processing. You will still get poor looking videos, but with heavy file sizes. (1) Agree 100% hahaha
    Other Runner Ups imo: Multiple camera set-ups, hindi lahat ng phones, pero may models talaga na unnecessary na and are just for the trend.

      To be honest kasi, laking suntok sa battery yung frequent charge-discharge kasi nakakadisrupt at di nagagamit ng efficient yung battery life span, kasi more on charging cycles parin ang battery up to now (except kung fully implemented na yung graphene battery, pwedeng-pwedeng maging harsh sa battery) not to mention na di optimized ang wireless charging, at dagdagan mo pa ng heat na mapproduce ng wireless charging. Based na din yan sa mga napapanood ko and nababasang articles.

    I have to disagree with what you've said with wireless charging and reverse, it's not a gimmick Afterall.
    Wireless charging:
    Una: Sobrang useful nya pag may lakad ka then wala kang dala na charger tapos may wireless charging dock ang pinuntuhan mong kainan o mall which is installed sa table, for emergency it is indeed helpful and convenient lalo na sa mi 11 na capable of 67W which is a matter of mins lang you have the juice. (As I said nasa restaurant ka then available sa table ang wireless charging of course kakain ka lalagay mo cp mo if need mo charge - sa tingin mo gimmick siya? Kung oo bakit ka kasi mag wireless charge kung gagamitin mo pala, kaya nga may dock kasi pag nasa office ka ilalagay mo lang😅 while doing paper works then kunin mo incase may tumawag tas ilagay mo ulit.). Medyo kinulang ka sa logic upon explaining.
    Reverse Wireless charging:
    VERY HELPFUL SA TWS KO and SWatch (lalo na hindi type c or common cable ang charger kaya it's a useful features I'm glad to have)
    Yun lang add up ko no hard feelings that's my take on this matter.

    For Dolby Atmos, it is not meant to work on the default built in speakers of the phone. It's not physical Implementation, it's an emulation. Implementation nya is software based and is meant to EMULATE a 3D experience via the phone's internal DAC thus you need wired headphones that supports 5.1, 7.1 or Atmos audio signals to take advantage of your phone's Dolby Atmos software integration.
    Tl;dr it's for headphones, not phone speakers. It's also an emulation, so yea not the same as an actual atmos system.

    Good list, sir. For me, tied sa #1 gimmick yung high pixel count ng camera at high pixel count ng screen panel. A 4k panel is wasted on a phone because of the screen size, parang high pixel count ng cam na nauuwi din naman sa pixel binning. Sa usual screen size ng smart phones ngayon na 5.99"-6.8", you can hardly tell the difference between a 480p video and a 720-1080p movie dahil compressed unlike if you view it on a 42-60" TV. 4k on a phone screen is not worth the money they ask for it, IMO.

      1) Yung mga depth at macro cameras. Depende sa gumagamit, ang macro ay pwedeng gamitin na pang basa sa mga fine print sa isang product or document. 2) Notches at punch holes. Kung maglalagay sila ng notch tiyakin na nila na proportionate ang notch sa mga curves at size ng screen. Ang U-shaped notches ng mga naunang Redmi, Huawei, Umidigi, etc. ay mga halimbawa ng proportionate na notch. Sa punch hole naman, lalo na kung nasa gitna, yung Poco F3 ang may pinakamaliit na punch hole na nakita ko, at hindi masyadong sagabal sa viewing experience. 3) Mga software features sa power button. Sa normal usage, ang power at volume buttons ay para lang sa on/off at volume up/down ng phone, WALA NANG IBA. 4) Gaya-gayang implementation ng isang (o ng ibang) malaking smartphone company sa Control Center ng iOS (swipe down sa upper right side ng screen. 5) Always-on screen na dagdag sa konsumo sa baterya at pwedeng pagmulan ng screen burn sa mga OLED screens. Tanggalin na nila ang mga notch at punch hole at ibalik ang single or multicolored notification LED. HINDI yan nakakadagdag sa porma ng smartphone (kahit sa tablet at laptop). Lagyan na din nila ng dual front facing speakers ang smartphone nila. At ibalik ang 3.5mm headphone jack at microSD card sa ibang midrange at flagship models. Kung nagbayad ka para sa isang smartphone na kasing presyo ng brand new na motorsiklo or second hand na kotse, dapat present ang dalawang features na yan. Lastly, ang mga smartphones ngayon ay ginagamit sa business at araw-araw na pagcommute. Dapat lang na may compass ang karamihan sa mga budget models.

    I have to disagree on the first one. I have an oppo phone that has Dolby Atmos speakers and I would say, sound-wise, it's almost there at apple standards. I'm a musician btw, so sounds are the name of my game. my ear, over the years with experience, can hear the minute differences of sounds. There's a ton of devices that has different results when it comes to the quality of sound. I also test the sound of my music on different devices's speakers and a number of earphone/headphones. I would agree a bit on what you said. My take though is, when you have dual speakers on your device/phone, there you can hear and maximize the value of the said branded internal speakers. When it's only one, you can't enjoy it as much. I would say up until now, the golden standard for me and other musicians on best internal speakers is still apple. Yeah they experiment for it for a bit still like ipad 2 sounds better than ipad air 2, something like that. But it's still the best out there. When it comes to external speakers, I would agree 100% on that. If you want to enjoy your music completely, just get speakers. But we also have to remember, sound quality is still coming from the quality of the sound file from the phone. But for musicians on the go, Having good internal speakers is still important for us nonetheless. It's not just having good speakers per Se, it's having the best quality of sound + speakers that changes the game. You can have good speakers but shitty file, it's still not going to be the same. I can go on details about the mic quality as well that influences sound capture but that's another topic for another time.
    There's my side on it! 😁 - from a musician + composer.

      Perhaps I might have oversimplified that point in hopes that everyone can understand it easily.
      So I appreciate this detailed comment re: actual sound enhancements of atmos speakers on a phone because I do agree that it does improve the overall sound quality especially when connected to the earphones/headphones. And I should have pointed this out instead of skipping to my main point about phone speakers not being able to truly output or give the users the real atmos experience when watching movies.
      Thank you for taking your time to share your thoughts on this. 👍🏻

    Agree to all points made, even the honorable mentions.
    I will also add memory extensions as marketing gimmick, yes it could help in multitasking but RAM is always faster than our storage components, and it will also use up more CPU processing as well as battery usage.

    • @Jeunarip
      @Jeunarip 2 года назад +1

      Definitely not a gimmick. It is like a swap file/virtual memory katulad sa PC in Windows platform. Research more and you'll come up with a conclusion na hindi yan gimmick. It is actually a technology na matagal ng existing.

    • @mfranz15
      @mfranz15 2 года назад +1

      @@Jeunarip Yes, it may be useful to Windows and other OS, but for Android, I think it is not worth it since it will just use more power which is not optimal for a mobile device. Also, it is useful for devices with lower memory size, but most devices which supports this feature are mostly those which have enough RAM, sooo...

    • @Jeunarip
      @Jeunarip 2 года назад +6

      @@mfranz15 so hindi gimmick kasi totoong tech ito. And FYI no offense meant... It will not be utilized until the "extended RAM" from the ROM kung hindi kailangan. So its not utilizing power from the battery. It's a failsafe as intended to rescue physical RAM shortage kung sakali man na magkulang. Imbis na mag crash ang isang app na kumain ng maraming RAM resource... It will not kasi nga to the rescue si "extended RAM" and that is benefit for us users. Not gimmick at all.

    • @mfranz15
      @mfranz15 2 года назад +1

      @@Jeunarip I totally agree, however I don't see it to be used on phones for now, since higher end phones has sufficient RAM while budget phones might be good to have memory extension yet they use old storage technology which are slower to cut costs. But, again, I totally agree on your points.

      Gagana naman talaga sir whether sa speakers or headphones. Pero pag maliit na speakers kasi, emulated lang na surround sound. It tries to copy lang yung actual surround sound experience which is impossible to do vs actual surround speakers. Still enjoyable pero very far and different sa cinematic experience claim ng mga brands.

      Agree, yung iphone may oversharpening look na notable sa iPhones at gusto ng masa. Ang advantage lang ng high MP count paired with good image processing is mas better detail sa lowlight, and imo lowlight performance ay importante kasi sa proper lighting similar lang naman lahat ng phone nagkakatalo lang sa price ng phones
