I wish I could see while you're drawing because your explanation is the best!

So well done! . The sepal surround the peony bud. I just like to draw flowers. You are the first teacher talking about the anatomy of the flower and the age of the petals. Most floral instructors don't bother to use the correct leaves when doing demos. Excellent!

Jeff, I'm teaching myself watercolors, but I'm LEARNING to draw from YOU! You have a real knack for teaching, and point out interesting things, like what to shade, what kind of line to start with, etc. I have to find your wave-- so far this one and cherry blossoms made me feel successful (not perfect, but first attempt was very rewarding)! ANYONE could learn to draw with you!! THANK YOU!

I watched your video to learn how to draw a peony prior to attempting a watercolor peony. You are a great teacher!! Love the "S" curve! Can't paint a peony until I can draw a fair representation of it and this video helped!

I'll never draw peonies the same way again!! I watched your wave tutorial a few months ago and it helped me a lot with my layouts. Now this! Great work!!
I'm so glad I searched your name today on RUclips!!
Keep up with the tutorials!! ...and THANK YOU!!

Woah! Thanks for this. It's so helpful and makes sense- especially the petals on the outside getting weathered.

Jesus, please get someone to light that paper surface so I can see what he is doing.
I can only see the red pencil in the shadow of his hand and that makes it really hard to study what he is doing.

Thank you for these videos! I just found your channel... and I love it already! But I can't see what you're drawing very well. Especially at the beginning, when you are lightly sketching something, it's just a white page to me... I understand the *light sketch* process of the beginning, but for those of us who want to learn this from you, I think it might help a great deal if we could better see what you are showing us. I hope that doesn't sound like a critique- it's more like a request. But thank you so much for putting so much into sharing your knowledge and skill! We appreciate you so much❣️

HOLY SMOKES!! I first watched this and was like,, ya right another tutorial where the dood shows ya how he can draw but you can't,,, blah blah blah.. O! ok, I'll just draw with my shoulder,, lame.... then i thought about it for a few minutes and though to myself..Don't be a dick, just try what he says...So i did...and my first few lines sucked ass as usual, AND THEN? then i went back and added some random little details on the long smooth strokes.. And Bro.. I swear to god, it was the best drawing I have ever done in my life,, no copying you or measuring. or trying to render out someone else's work,,,just raw organic original art that came from my shoulder and eye...and my own brain for once !! I wish like hell i could show you what happened with just 10 minutes of me not being a dickhead and doing what you said,, LOL
