@@kskroyaltech i used NAT but i figured out that it didn't have a DNS set in resolv.conf . simply added one and made the changes perm and it fixed it

inside the VM, go to kali linux settings and choose display and select the resolution you fancy

Did u enable 3D Acceleration in display tab..? If so disable it and try again

Make sure you have typed the password that you set while installing Kali ..
