But in the video, he mentioned that Yamcha was able to do this exact same technique, because his charged ki-blast also moves very slowly. It seems that a legacy tech has carried over into the new game. It makes sense cause slow projectiles being able to be walked behind has been a technique since SF2 Guile

a firm believe that characters that have a bigger transformation (broly, cooler, and bojack) should have their base form dp lowered by one but take an extra stock to transform
@INZEM If I do it faster I end up doing a regular ki blast instead of a charged one or he does a melee follow up. Is there a trick to it like holding down the charge while doing the down smash?
its took me awhile too. Search Kami sparking zero combo theory. he goes over the tech although doesnt have a button overlay. So the combo goes squarex5-x+up square+charged blast. You charge the ki blast while hes dashing in for the final upkick but if you do it too soon he cancels the upkick for that step in uppercut. it helps to let go of the up analog while you charge the ki blast too.

Ya Cooler is super good imo: Super fast Ki blast, the paralysis on Smash Ki, one of the few bigger body characters who gets access to Flying Kicks+Ki Blast Cannon AND he has good defense+ HP =D Oh btw you might not know but if you tag out your character, they get about 1 Health bar back a minute Edit: Also in case you didn't know, you can double Blast by abusing the low recovery on tranforming, so Base Cooler Blast 1>transform>Blast 1 A great way to cashout some easy damage
honestly I just started focusing more on doing them properly in recent time. I recommend trying to time the input so you can get a feel for how to do them on purpose
Cooler is the goat but cant you do backshot combos with most other characters with their turnaround (ithink its rolling hammer) kick and you already get bachsots or is the cooler one have some sort of advantage other than you get to play as cooler.
rush attacks cant combo into rolling hammer(or any other rush chain tbh) from front facing hits, because of this most of the characters struggle to combo after the rush chain into step in attack. Cooler is pretty unique to be able to do combos like these
dont sleep on super broly either. he can use a rush in base form for damage, then use a skill to regain ki and instantly use another rush attack and combo those 2 rush attacks back to back. He then can also transform and use another rush. if dont properly after. he can continue the combos after even a 3RD Super Rush Attack combo. S broly is pretty interesting.. highly recommend checking into more chars who are capable of combo multiple rush attacks etc. plus those setups im pretty sure are not -1. so its best case for the attacker Z broly i believe also gets Ki on transform. so can figure out some abuse for that also cause he has some but its a little dif than Super broly if i recall saying as cooler regains ki on transform. u may be able to get away with some silly stuff from that also

I.e EVERY FORM OF BROLY, Z or super does not have access to rush attacks) are different if i recall in BT3 games and sparking zero compared to the current Super broly and his transformations in Sparking zero. Super works for what i said. Z broly and his forms are not entirely the same. Going off hsi moves from BT3. he has like blast wave or something as R1 + 8O, so he has no rush attack on super saiyan Z broly form all those blaster balls he sends.. he doesnt have a rush in SSJ.. unless something changed.. his combos are not gunna be the same cheese wise as super broly. Super broly and Z broly are incredibily different dude. situations, circumstances, etc, Super series broly and Z series broly require different utilization to optimize the ki regain on transformations. so not too sure what ur trying to tell me here
Unfortunately Final Form Cooler isn't actually great despite that tech in comparison to other 7 cost characters. While he does hit hard, landing hits with him is way harder to pull off than other characters. As he loses afterimage and none of his supers are unblockable. Also Death Beam has a painful recover making it difficult to utilize properly for a ranged super. There's practically no reason to use the form over regular Cooler other than finding the form badass which it is. Metal Cooler, who costs the exact same, is significantly better. Kind of weird balancing but oh well.

Broken is a stretch. I agree it’s a good tech but enough to carry him into the broken realm absolutely not. Also this rank is D level. I can see more struggle with this B5 or higher. Respect though on playing cooler, one of the best movie characters ever

nahhhh ppl keep saying cooler is good but i think he is the only character in the game that gets weaker and becomes more useless when he transforms. his ultimate in base from is TRASH, his blast 2 is TRASH. His ultimate in 4th form is less trash, but it doesn't do enough dmg.... both his specials are trash. the only work you are gonna get done is in sparking, which no player will let you get to because you need 10 eternities to make it. You can't even revert to base form for the health =\ he's honestly better off in base form with a blast 1 that's better than his ultimate lmao. once you lose ki as cooler he just sucks big time

its extremely difficult to find who actually finds what tech on games unless they are really in-depth/gamebreaking so you KNOW who made them. outside of those it's almost impossible

yeah the timings a bit tricky, but if you are getting the charge ki blast but they're still blocking it you might be doing it to slow

How do you do the side step while in the air? Whenever I try to do it I just dash left or right. It’s ⬅️ / ➡️ ➕ ❌ right? I’m on standard.
it is the same button as dashin in close combat ... maybe try to turn off the helping tools would help with that problem.
