Lots of love to Iran from Georgia, I really love and admire Persian culture and food, were we neighbours once? 🇬🇪💖🇮🇷
With all due respect to Georgia and its wonderful people, the entire Caucasus region including Georgia were part of Iran for three centuries until 1828. After Russo-Persian wars (1804-1828) despite a successful Iranian offensive in the early years, it eventually turned out in an even worse defeat; the 1828 Treaty of Turkmenchay forced Iran to irrevocably cede all of modern-day Armenia and the northern part of Azerbaijan that were still in Iranian hands to Russian Empire. By 1828, Iran was stripped of all its territories in Transcaucasia and the North Caucasus including Georgia, which all had made part of the concept of Iran for three centuries.

@@George-jz9fk Certainly, there were surely bad events caused by the local governors who abused their authority against the local population, as everywhere in the past centuries. But also my great-great-grandfather was Georgian, and the mother of one of my friends is of Georgian descent and her family fled from Georgia to Iran, to Gilan province, during the Soviet Union. There is good and bad everywhere, but as far as I know, the Imperial Russia and later Soviet Russia did their best to denigrate and vilifying Iranians in the Caucasus region after the occupation to destroy the relations and cut the ties between Iranians on the mainland and the Caucasian population.

@@JustCaden i am not american so I am not entitled to recommend or dissuade a travel with an american passport. However, Iran is one of the most underrated countries with an incredible landscape and many aspects more. I advise you to constantly check entry requirements on iranian web pages. There is as far as I can say no explicit travel ban for American citizens. Drew at least made it twice to enter Iran and traveled around
You must go there , I am from Uzbekistan and my first language is Persian. If you go to Samarqand and Bukhara you can see a piece of Iranian culture there)

I truly appreciate these famous RUclipsrs who show the real side of these so called forbidden to go to countries. I always wanted to go to Iran and yes you won’t get to drink in public places freely, you don’t get to party in public places like bars or clubs but there are plenty to do, to see, to go, and to learn. Iran is for the culture lovers to see, not for shallow travelers. I’m sure their government knows who’s spy and who’s an ordinary man who is coming for tourism purpose only. Why would anyone be concerned about persecution if they have no political agenda. Even my Jewish friend whose been to Israel and loves Iran has visited Iran and no harm was down to her. She also said the government officials know who is entering their country and on what purpose and they’re not there to get everyone. I’ll definitely visit in couple months

Iran has a Jewish population who have coexisted with everybody else peacefully for centuries. They even have a fixed parliament seat. There is no bad view on Jewish tourists visiting Iran so you're absolutely welcome to visit anytime

I would love to go to Iran, I have tried the food before and it's so tasty, my favorite dishes are ghormeh sabzi, loobia polo, khoresh gheymeh and mast-o khiar.

i've been to several countries, iranians have the most diverse and delicious food around the world I can argue. Turkey and Iran have the best version of kebabs and fast foods.

I’m from the US and I’d love to travel to Iran. I haven’t had the opportunity to leave the continent yet, and from what I’ve gathered from your content, the best places to travel are the places without a huge tourism industry. I’d also love to travel to pretty much anywhere in Africa, particularly Namibia. I’m learning German so I’m fascinated by the population of German speakers there, and visiting there is certainly on my bucket list

@TBK I live in Tehran, in Yousef Abad neighborhood. Next to my building there is a huge synagogue which is always full. On Jewish holidays the whole street is full of people, young and old, laughing, debating, and it's a great sight to see this community. Sometimes I wonder how many Jewish Iranians live in Iran.

Iranian style kofteh and kebab are the tastiest I have ever had. I had their kofteh with pine nuts over 15 years ago and let me tell you it is a haunting experience. It never leaves my mind. Ate so much that day I embarrassed myself! Didn't care not one bit though. 😅

I haven't been to Iran for years, this video reminded me of all of those places and awesome hospitality.

حقیقتش به طرز عجیب غریبی کنکورو خیلی خوب دادم و از شانسم با اینکه زیاد نخوانده بودم نمونه های شبیه به سوالاتشو قبلا حل کرده بودم تقریبا همرو جز فیزیک بالای پنجاه میزنم اختصاصیا عمومی ها هم ۷۰ ۸۰😅🙄

Iran looks so amazing to visit and the people seem genuinely friendly. I am both Israeli and German so I am a bit scared about going there. As for Drew's question, I would also love to visit Japan for it is such a different culture that astonishes me on every level :)
